Condescending Reporter gets OWNED by Ron Paul grassroots in front of Santorum Rally

LMAO at "I'm not asking any gotcha questions! You can't name one gotcha question that I've asked today. Now you do think 9/11 was an inside job right?"

Obviously a deep paraphrase to make the point but...

The fact that they didn't say "No, that is absurd" instead of that silly "no comment" crap in response to the implication that 9/11 was an inside job is ridiculous.

My take:

How are the 28500 US troops gonna make a difference helping the 687000 South Korean troops defending against the 1106000 North Korean troops? They are just cannon fodder stationed there to die in the case of war so the US would be outraged and would have no choice between remaining neutral or engaging in the war.

I think the South could handle them without us. But to say our troops stationed are just cannon fodder against the North is a bit much. We even have nukes there.

pssshh,, regarding 9/11 truth, the only reason people are even still picking that bone is because the entire event is STILL shrouded in mystery to this day.

We know the government has pulled off inside jobs before. There is nothing absurd about the "possibility" that the government is NOT TELLING us everything that went down on 9/11, including possible involvement by people in the US government in some way.

I wouldn't have said no comment. I would have asked for the facts. The little bit of facts we do have, do not support the conspiracy theory. Questions remain unanswered and probably will remain that way. Until then, the only people walking around pretending like the events on 9/11 have some sort of closure are the people who still think that OBL had nothing to do with USA and his death somehow vindicated the victims of 9/11.

Don't blame Ron Paul supporters for the media NOT allowing those victims to rest in peace. Every time the media brings that shit up when discussing Ron Paul, THEY are the ones aggrevating the events of that day. If we had all the facts, the media wouldn't have that angle. Instead, the media is happy to ignore any kind of factual investigation or disclosure, much less discussion on ideas that do not mesh with facts, or promote the US Govt as flawless wre2 9/11.

So you people in here bitching about 9/11, can it. You sound like the "news" reporter baitbread.

I was stationed at ROK. And yes, the U.S. presence there is simply to act as a speed bump, they will tell you this. When we did Ulchi Focus, it was made clear our two main objectives were secure the line at the DMZ, to allow the remaining forces adequate time to get all American civilians (dependants and government employees) and command off the penisula.

It is a FREAKY thing to see the DMZ. You get to see the training videos about proper use of atropine(sp?) injectors, and then the famous video of the goat being subjected to VX gas. Then you go to the DMZ, and see a shit ton of VX rockets, all pointed at you. Our presence there now is more grand standing now, than anything. Something akin to MAD, in letting North Korea know the only way they could try to get at ROK is over the USA. In all honesty though, people SEVERELY underestimate the ROK forces. Those are true soldiers (screw the KATUSA program pouges), and are seriously not the people with which you would want to mess with. That, and they have required military service for all men. SO in effect, the entire nation of fighting age men are soldiers.

And with every reference to that possibility to the media (note, I am not attacking the idea, merely the effect of using it DURING an election), it gets play time as what Ron Paul thinks. SO, let me give you an alternative to your observation. Don't complain about media spin, when so many people are readily giving them ammo for it.

The Ron Paul people in this video did not bring up 9/11. Exactly who gave Blatbib ammo? The guy said no comment. That is about all there is to say unless you want to go on offensive by pointing out the media hypocrisy regarding 9/11. You can't expect anyone to LIE and call the possibility of US involvement in 9/11 absurd when the facts aren't laid out. Especially when someone uses the inflammatory characterization of "inside job". Gotcha type questions. Ron Paul's supporters can have a serious discussion about the causes of 9/11, but not with reporters like blinkbob.

You fall back on "I'd like to see a more thorough investigation into the intelligence failures that led up to, and allowed, it."

I don't expect anyone to lie. What I do expect is for people to think before they give an answer that can be easily miscontrued to prove a point. He asked them if they thought Bin Laden was behind the attacks. Bin Laden SAID he was. Regardless of WHY he was, it is indisputable he said he was. Yes, it was a gotcha question. And yes, they played right into it with their Oliver North answer. My observation from that video was that those kids don't know when to speak, and when to listen. And that makes them fools. Fools that are going to be portrayed as the normal Ron Paul supporter.

I watched the whole thing, and I didn't see where anyone "OWNED" the reporter... to the general public, they would watch that as the reporter made yet another group of ron Paul supporters look silly.

I agree on lack of pwnage, but instead of reporter making them look silly, I bet they will see it as reporter TRIED to make them look silly and wasn't really successful at it.

The reporter won the whole thing when they all said no comment to his 9/11 questions.

They didn't answer the Korea questions well either.

The reporter wanted to portray RP supporters as crazy 9/11 truthers with a dangerous world view in the eyes of the average voter and he was successful. They played into it.

I could have turned those questions on that reporter easily. Oh well.

Yep they sure are fools. I wish those fools would just disappear. I wish they would just stay home and shut up that way I wouldn't have to worry about what they say that might ruin Ron Paul's message...

Glad they were there, thought they did a decent job with questions they had no idea were coming and would never be asked of any other candidate's supporters, and wish they had official fliers instead.

And the reporter is an asshat and that should be evident to most.

Nice try and kudos to the fellas in the video, but unfortunately they were not the best informed spokespersons for defending RP. I absolutely admire them for their efforts however.

Eh. It was okay. I would have said some different things, but I guess that is part of the greatness of the movement...people come from all different backgrounds to seek liberty.

pssh no, the "reporter" is an arrogant jack ass that has no concern for truth, wants to make a joke out of the political process, and is hoping to drive a spike in the solidarity of Ron Paul's activist support.

THAT was his intent, and THAT is what you allow him to accomplish by parroting his attack strategy on this forum, and by helping to paint the same picture. You could have turned the questions on him easily because you had the benefit of seeing the attack coming. THOSE PEOPLE did not. They did as good as I have WITNESSED anyone do including Ron Paul with ambush tactics like this.

I agree, no comment was not a great answer, IT WAS NO ANSWER. Of course there could have been better answers. But the guy didn't stick his foot in his mouth, he had enough sence to keep his opinion to himself.

Maybe it is absurd that the government had involvement in 9/11 that we don't know about. But I don't think there is any question that the government is capable of far worse no matter how absurd. I also don't think there is any question that govt involvement with OBL and the middle east in general are at the root of the cause for 9/11. Without facts, any discerning person should reserve judgement on the root cause of 9/11 and completing dismissing some other conspiracy besides the one peddled by the media is irresponsible on a personal level.

Bottom line, the guy didn't help paint the picture that you are helping to paint by labeling his response as crazy 9/11 truth conspiracy witha dangerous world view.

The eyes of the average voter will never see this video, because it doesn't meet up to the "journalistic" standard of actually outing Ron Paul supporters as truther whack jobs. The guy failed to get his hit piece, thanks to Ron Paul supporters not getting in to useless 9/11 conspiracy talk.

I'm glad they are out there doing what they do, but really I don't think they did a good job defending the positions. I good thing to say on the Korea thing would be that Korea has an economy 40 times that of North Korea and they are more than capable of defending themselves after 40 years of our presence. South Korea also has a good size nuclear arsenal. They should have also asked how long he thinks we should be there if 40 isn't enough? 100, 1000? Should we give foreign aid to China who is a known ally of North Korea? He asked, do we want the whole peninsula to look like North Korea? They should have said, do you want half of it to look like North Korea? If it was so important not to allow a communist dictatorship exsist and we were doing it for the people of South Korea, why the hell didn't we just get the job done for the people in North Korea? Are they not as deserving of freedom. The fact is, military dictatorships exist all over the world and the U.S. government neither has the authority or funds to overthrow every single one of their governments. These are all talking points from our position someone in that group should have been able to think of on the spot.
