I was thinking about this when I read about the recent Washington marijuana raids.
The state government could object to it, but its the local sheriff that is in on these raids and gets plenty of armament from his DEA buddies.
You could say that too. I think sovereign citizens are much more hardcore than FS or occupy. I don't think it's right to lump them in together and the cops don't need a tank either way.
No, I'm more moderate than you. I think things are bad, a lot concerns me, but all hope is not lost yet.

I dunno, things are pretty bad right now...consider:
1 -The Chief Executive says he has the right to strip you of your citizenship and declare US citizens "enemy combatants", with that entails.
2 - The government is monitoring everything, and will soon, by next month, have The Matrix online in Utah, which will collate all that data, make it something that can be used and acted upon.
3 - You cannot go a day without breaking some law, somewhere.
4 - The Matrix grid will find that, report it for action and that shiny new tank will be at your door.
Just a matter of time.
Which is what a terminal cancer patient is looking at, just a matter of time.
And that's pretty serious to me.

The sheriff has nothing to do with this. The NHCLU is on the case, for what that is worth. I'm pretty sure Concord will get the BEARCAT. There is a public hearing. Here is the Facebook event link.

Here is how useful the Bearcat that was granted for Keene:
"As a condition of the purchase, Keene police were required to report how the BearCat was used in its first six months since it was delivered in November 2012.
According to the report, the BearCat was used 21 times: for 19 training exercises, one report of a suicidal person and one report of barricaded person. It was also displayed at City Safety Day.
In December 2011, Keene Ward 3 Councilor Terry Clark cast the only dissenting vote in a 12-1 decision to accept the grant.
"It's a waste of money," Clark said this month. "It was a waste of money then, and it's still a waste.
"I guess it hasn't cost us much to maintain it, but almost $300,000 for a vehicle that has been used mostly for training, on two false-alarm calls and as a nice truck on Safety Day? Our government is so cash-strapped, there are much more important things this money could be spent on.""

Maybe we're looking at this the wrong way. Consider:
If "SHTF Day" ever really does come, all this materiel will be that much more "available" (to those who are able to sieze all or part of a local PD's arsenal) than it otherwise would have been. Given that so many cops are wannabe-Rambos (and even those PD personnel who are ex-military are likely to have become soft & lazy after having gotten into the habits of (1) never being held to any kind of disciplined accountablility, and (2) never dealing with anything but compliant & submissive mundanes), determined and highly-motivated guerrillas might not have such a hard time as one might at first think if it came to "liberating" certain equipment for their own use. Such equipment would certainly be much more "accessible" from PD's than from actual military bases or installments.
Just a thought - for the sake of finding some kind of "silver lining" in all this crap ...
