Paul comes under pressure to focus on Senate seat

Some people have commented and claimed that Rand Paul will never see the oval office. And some joked about his hair appearance.

Ky. law for decades had prohibited someone running for Pres. to run for the Senate and some other offices. It was a good law.

Rand Paul cowardly got the law changed.(Marco Rubio gave up his Senate seat)
Paul has a zero chance of becoming the nominee. He is about 2-3%.
I hope someone primaries him and wins and he will be out of both jobs.

How about going for completely unemployed?

Just another GOP Presidential wannabe in denial about USA voters ever wanting him to be their President.

This guy will never see the oval office, unless invited.

America you have a problem. And whats the problem? your fellow sheeps. They are now seeing Trump as a better candidate and someone who has a chance at winning? yet the comments i saw in that comment section are pure disgusting. To suggest that Rand paul is not someone that American public want is rather hilarious.

You might as well vote for a war monger again and honestly i do hope those get there asses drafted.

Astroturf campaign has been in full force all season. They even make accounts on sites like RPF and reddit.

Hell, I've seen things saying we need "Liberty defender" Ted Cruz not "America hater" Rand Paul

lol bunch of hypocrites all this because Rand Paul is not a Israeli supporter or a war monger if you should encounter them just show them a link to the US military sign up page..

What, and people on here haven't occasionally analyzed and bitched about something as minute as his hair?

Rand should have bought his own astroturf (I doubt it is very expensive). The comments sections are always sickening. It didn't used to be that nasty before Trump got in the race.

The commenter here talking about the law doesn't know what they're talking about. It is really more to protect local elections...it really doesn't have that much to do with national elections. Annoying...

This.

Obama's campaign made winning the online comment war a top priority and operated one of the most effective PSYOPs campaigns in history. His army of 'obamabots' relentlessly took the fight to both Clinton and McCain, demoralizing their most active and engaged supporters.

Sites like HotAir and AceOfSpaces only required 1, maybe 2, full time "Randbots" near the beginning of the campaign to establish a foothold, begin building aliences with some of the regular readers/commenters, and most importantly, push back aggressively and effectively against all negative articles and/or comments about Rand by the supporters of other candidates.

Unfortunately, winning the Comment War is no where near as sexy as shinny Twitter gifs or any of the other trendy tactics Vincent Harris has bet the farm on (nor is it as marketable for "Harris Media" to either the political press or political campaigns in search of a digital agency).

Of course, it's too late now for a few full time commenters per site to make a difference given how long the anti-Rand commenters have had to run roughshod over all the big conservative blogs/sites. The only way now is for Rand himself to somehow orchestrate a comeback that's so successful that not even the "bot supporters" of Trump, Carson and/or Cruz can fight back against it.

And people are actually surprised by this?
We probably shouldn't be but it's just such a different atmosphere from the last presidential election. At this point in the last round comment sections were dominated by people supporting Ron. Trump seems to have gained a large segment of internet comment activists.

What's missing is the fundraising and polling we were led to believe that appealing to mainstream Republicans would get Rand. This tactic seems to have lost the enthusiasm and not gained the other more important things.

His dad didn't need it.

He didn't either. The difference is, the only place we can go and not get banned is here. Hell, even the Daily Paul closed out by banning Rand Paul supporters! And we don't ban anybody--even the competition's astroturf.

I remember when we could comment on HuffPo and not get instadeleted and instabanned. Try it now.

I said it in 2008 when GE stock was five bucks a share and we could possibly have bought enough of it to have an influence on NBC, and I'll say it now: We have got to get control of some media outlets or we will always be screwed.

Fahrenheit 451, baby. We're being censored into oblivion. We could no longer keep sound ideas in front of the public if we had an army that kept reposting continuously 24/7. And as Lystrom proved, it's awfully hard to keep a site open to non-establishment ideas, and nearly impossible to keep the traffic up there.

Why?

They don't.

Didn't want his dad either.

"They", being the great unwashed mass of AmeriKunts, do not want freedom, in any shape or form.

More like between work and family the average folks do not have the time to do the research and spend too much time relying on the party establishment, the media or entertainment industry to tell them what freedom is.

I used to think that.

I no longer do.
