Ron Paul was called a "kook" today, concerning his stance on Iran, in the comment section of an article at THE HILL entitled "Ron Paul shines in Iowa; major media cheats him", Follows Sargeant Lewis' response to said comment:

I am a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. I support Ron Paul and I support his foreign policy. I am sure you would not dare call me a Paultard to my face.

No, you would give me the same parroted line I hear 100 times a day, "Thank you for your service". When I hear some flabby couch potato like you say that to me it makes me sick. Yes, I serve our country, but our wars do not.

I do my best to keep my men alive while we carry out this sick policy of sticking our noses in other peoples business. When was the last time you had a friend die in your arms or look for the leg that was just blown off of the man next to you? When was the last time you walked past dead children that were killed by U.S. weapons? I'm glad you can sleep at night, because many times I cannot. I have children myself you self righteous SOB. If someone killed my children you can bet I would do everything in my power to seek revenge.

You dare call me rabid and blind? I know what I am talking about. Why don't you grab a gun and head to Iran if you want to fight them so much. Ron Paul is right. They are no threat to us. We need to mind our own business. They hate us not because we are rich and free, they hate us because we are in their countries.

It is people like you that are the biggest threat to this country, not Iran.

The chickenshit he was addressing went on to call him a Paul-tard and a pussy for being in the Army, while claiming to be a double amputee Marine.

Losers, the lot of them. Excellent comment by Sargeant Lewis.

I would LOVE a youtube of this soldier calling out the NeoCons like that!! POWERFUL!!!!

A youtube compilation of Soldiers for Ron Paul (former, so they can speak openly) with shorter soundbites of why they support him would be fantastic.

saw this from daily paul, then clicked on thehill.com link. glad to read most of the comments on the piece. sad to see that one man (Sgt. Lewis was responding to) who claims to be a marine amputee is all about "american f*** yeah!"

really? you're still delusional enough to believe these wars are still justified? perhaps once the VA cuts his 100% disability benefits (pay and health) and leaves him in the gutter in order to continue the imperialistic expansion, maybe, just maybe, he'll change his tune.

I created a new poster out of this using one of the Ames ads as a base for it. Sorry, I cannot recall who did the original ad.

Anyone else think we need to step up our game when it comes to veterans advocating for RP? A lot in this area has already been done, but seems like we could do more to get that message out. Practically all the military folks I talk with are saying 'STOP SENDING US TO FIGHT YOUR MEANINGLESS WARS!' I feel like if the average GOPer heard that enough time, it might sink in.

My own idea is to create a very simple site that collects RP endorsements from anyone who has served in the military (active duty or veteran). Clips would be short and to the point - 30 seconds max. There are already a lot of these types of clips on youtube and those would be collected to seed the site. As it gets larger and more vets hear about it, it would just grow into a large video archive of military support for ron paul.

Like i said, I think our military folks are hard to ignore and I think many people who currently support mitt/perry/bmann could changes their minds if they heard directly from the mouths of veterans.

The vets might be just the ones that could win this on for Ron Paul!

I know there is a lot of projects going on right now, to allow Veterans to address their support. There is a push for "Veterans for Ron Paul" through RonPaul2012.com and on YouTube there are probably a 100 vet video endorsements. I'm working on a project that will help collect endorsement videos from groups and veterans are included.

BTW, UtahApocolypse, I created that ad. Just be careful using that image as it's not been purchased. I've been meaning to make the buy and finish off those ads, but I don't have the funds. I think that image for print-size is about $75.00. If anyone wants to do a chipIn to help me get the purchase, I'll rework that ad multiple ways, including the Sgt. comments if you'd prefer.

We have to volunteer at our local wounded warriors, we can get the ron paul word out to them and get more endorsements and drill it into these neocons heads that we can't stay there.

Excellent work, Dusman and UtahApoc. I went so far as to send this to my mother, who is very much gung-ho about thanking the men and women in uniform she comes into contact with. I did not take her to task on this behavior! I simply pointed out that while the overwhelming majority of these people have so much honor, so much respect and courtesy for the American people, that they will politely thank her for her kindness, there is an undercurrent of thought represented by Sgt. Lewis that must be, and ultimately will be, addressed.

Nice job, but please fix the graph

I like the poster, but the pie graph is split into 3rds (33%) which does not reflect Ron Paul's 50.6% share. You should fix that.

Yeah, that's just about the strangest graph I've ever seen. It's not really a pie graph, it's like a circular bar graph. Really odd and counterintuitive. It needs to be changed to just a normal pie graph. The label for the bottom portion also shouldn't be upside down.

utahapocalypse would you mind if I borrow this to share of Facebook? Full credit to you of course...
Hey, I made the grade and was allowed to join! Thanks for telling me about this site, dan.

Please do not use this version of the ad as it's for demonstration purposes only, with no clearance on rights. We'll be remaking this ad once the Q3 numbers come out.

dusman did the original ad. I like this but if anyone were going to use it (and I think there is a stock photo fee to pay) they need to do it fast because the new numbers will be out on the 15th and the graph will have to change to reflect them.

ah, dusman has it already. Maybe I should have read the rest of the thread....

I like it.

I like the radar-style feel. each third is for one person/group (in case of the rest of the GOP). If the concentric circles are defined enough, people will figure it out.
