Someone turned me on to this video of Rand at the C C dinner. I did a search and this is the first link that came up.

All, I can say is wow - what a mistake. Why in the world would he go there and - as I see it - make a fool out of him self like that in an audience full of Zio Neo Cons? It was hard to watch.

This will reflect poorly on Ron and have repercussions for Rand.

what negative repercussions have unfunny jokes had on politicians in the past?

Politicians go to those so they can appear human and humorous and reassure people. When people see the limits of their humor, it could have a useful effect.

I think a lot of it has to do whether one watches with an eye on how others will perceive it - or whether it is watched without such a burden. As with any preconceived notion, looking for a reason to cringe will make one more likely to cringe. I was ready to laugh and enjoyed it.
