Colbert takes sarcastic jab at Ron Paul

Colbert may or may not be liberal, we dont really know. There are a shitload of people out there who would consider themselves liberal just because GW showed them that they arent conservative. How many people on here didn't realize they were conservative until Ron Paul started talking with intellect about conservative issues?

The real meaning of conservative and liberal have been lost in this country for quite a while now. Just because someone might consider themselves liberal doesnt mean they are a douche bag either. Political junkies need to get their heads out of their asses and not dismiss people because they dont belong to the same brand of bullshit that they're peddling.

I haven't watched Comedy Central in months and I turned it on today to see Colbert interviewing a woman about Hillary. He went on a rant about how Hillary will kidnap men and steal their semen blah blah weird stuff and then he added "but I also believe that about Ron Paul"

I took it as a sarcastic remark about how fake conservatives are scared of him.. since Colbert is an actor and mimics neo cons

I don't see it as a jab. This is the time when all jokes by any one on a comedy show..late night comedy are about different politicians. They have them on for guest then they make jokes. It's no biggie.

I'd like to see Ron Paul in an interview with Chris Mathews. I think Matthews likes Ron Pauls approach on most of the issues.

LOL. This is funny...some people "dont get" Colbert.

His best interview was of course, Bill......O.....Reilly.

That line about Jon Stewart being a sexual predator and how Orielly has no idea what that is like is some of the best TV I have ever seen. Especially the look on OReilly's face.

the people that think Colbert is a neocon, or sympathetic to neo cons make me laugh, and then they make me cry as they obviously have a very sad sense of humor, or ability to perceive parody. Google the Interviews where Colbert went onto the O'reilly factor, and when O'rielly went onto the Colbert report. If you don't get it then, you are a humorless lost cause. Also look for the video of Colbert talking to John Kerry before his show, and explaining this character and schtick to John Kerry.

Even if you hate colbert, you have to watch when him and Bill appeared on each others shows, and love how he makes fun of BillO right to his face, on his own show, and vice versa. Howard Stern's interview with BillO where he calls his mugs and jackets crap is pretty good too

Alright; if he's supposed to be doing a certain 'character' then:

1) I didn't get it;

2) Apparently most neo-cons neither as they think he's for real.

3) I think it was quite obvious he was portraying Ron Paul as a 'fringe' candidate.

When he was saying the 'siding with the president' really nobody was laughing and everybody took it serious.

I don’t understand how people could still be unaware of the satirical nature of this show.

Most BLATANTLY:

His show is on Comedy Central

Can someone tell me what's up with his infatuation of Huckabee? Is that for real?

I think this should be taken to be an indictment of Huckabee, someone who the character Colbert plays would join with.

Yeah, he was mentioned on Jon Stewart just yesterday. Here's what Jon said:

"Like Ron Paul here's a guy..He's beaten Rudy Giuliani, I think in every primary..Giuliani comes in 6th, Ron Paul comes in 4th.
Literally when they talk about him on air...they just laugh. So why don't they just laugh, you know, I actually heard Ari Fleischer on Fox News say, and I can't remember which primary it was, great news for rudy giuliani that he came in sixth again."
- Jon Stewart

Here's the link to watch it:
