Colbert slamming Ron Paul [Mod: Satire]

Even though Colbert and Stewart almost certainly support Obama in actuality, they do have a lot of respect for Paul -- even if they don't "cover" him much...

For Colbert, that was practically an endorsement. How much better can you get than, "This guy has predicted several major events of the last 400 years"?

Yeah, Colbert was giving him credit for being right about everything.

If there's anything you can take away from the segment as possibly being a dig, it would be that Colbert was insinuating that he's old. Big deal. :p

Colbert was not insulting Ron Paul. Didn't you understand that as he kept going further back in time and showing Ron Paul, everything he said Ron Paul was saying such as the earth revolves around the sun and don't put hydrogen in a blimp is all TRUE. He was stating that Ron Paul is the only man on that stage who was speaking truth.

When he said you have to swallow that kind of crazy with a glass of water he was referring to the fact that Ron Paul is so full of truth that it is actually crazy to hear it coming out of the republican debate that has been filled with nothing but bullshit.

Well I dont consider Colbert or Stewert when decided who to vote for. I hope no one else does either. haha

I saw the Colbert show...he wasn't slamming Ron...he is just that way...I watch
him quite often.:D

He chose to air the best response from Paul during yesterday's debate (dealing primarily with our dismal foreign policy and the fallacy of the Iraq War and what it's come to represent) and then edited him in predicting Pearl Harbor, the Hindenburg and the fact that the Earth orbits the sun.

Can't say that's slamming Paul, it was a great segment.

He showed the clip of Ron Paul at last night's debate speaking out against McCain and Romney over their argument, and then basically went on to say that Ron Paul has been saying this 'crazy' stuff for a while now (this is sarcasm people, learn to understand it). He went on to show an edited clip of Ron Paul as if he had predicted the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor, saying, again, that it was one of Paul's 'crazy' moments, and later showed an edited clip of 1633 I believe it was, of Ron Paul saying that the Earth revolved around the Sun, again as if it was a 'crazy' moment.

People, the Japanese did bomb Pearl Harbor, and the Earth does revolve around the sun. He was basically saying that if what Ron Paul was saying at the debates is crazy, then those things are also crazy (which they are not). Basically saying that Ron Paul is speaking the truth.

It's a satirical show. Learn to love it. He just praised Ron Paul

OK....now that everybody is all worked up, I'm glad you'll still be awake for the start of the moneybomb.:D

According to some people's logic on this board pertaining to Colbert, he also thinks a guy that wants to park his truck on the street over night in Florida is a terrorist trying to destroy America...
