After watching the video however, that's a Colbert endorsement. He started with Dr. Paul speaking about foreign policy at the most recent debates to "going back through time" when he was telling everyone, "the Earth goes around the Sun." The next guest comes on to have a discussion about his book which is about logic.
Man, how can some people not get his satire? He and his writers are some of the most brillian satirists ever!!
You've all seen Colbert roast President Bush, right?

If just HALF of Ron's MySpace Friends (which would be 60,000) each donated $51, Ron Paul would receive 3 million dollars today.
We can't be happy with anything less.

It's nice to know that Ron Paul believes SOMETHING ELSE is the center of the universe....
Unlike McCain and Romney who only believe in themselves...
And Huckabee that swears that the center of the universe is a book of battle hungry war mongers, a jealous god of wrath and hatred, and a desire to make it illegal to believe anything but what they book says....
I'm happy to support the crazy candidate that believes the world is round.
It's a pity that the first to speak out are ignored and shunned.
But slowly, the ships set sail, and one day...

Perhaps he is coming around? I have been waiting for those two to pick up on the beauty of Ron Paul. Colbert deserves a bunch of thank you emails. He helped us a lot tonight.

His reference to Ron Paul saying 'the earth moves around sun' refers to the story of Galileo who in 1633 was forced by the Church to recant his belief that the earth moved around the sun. The Church insisted that the earth was a fixed body which did not move, and was, indeed, the center of the universe. Legend says that although Galileo recanted as he was forced to, he muttered under his breath, "and yet it moves."
Comparing Ron Paul to the mathematician, physicist, and philosopher Galileo is as high a compliment as anyone can get.
