Colbert on Ron Paul Pin-Up Calendar

If you put a group of average politicians and a group of non-Randian libertarians together, I guarantee you'd see a Hell of a lot more sociopathy, lack of empathy, and social darwinism from "civil servants"

Or even the Randian ones.

Ah, yes. The typical "libertarians are selfish" line. RP supporters sure are selfish for wanting to end torture and the death and destruction that happens abroad. Any liberal that prefers free entitlements over ending our wars and global empire is the selfish one. This is why I dislike colbert, he's another leftwing pundit masquerading as a comedian

We are selfish because we think it is immoral to STEAL money to provide help for the less fortunate. They like to think they are kind and charitable because they advocate forcing others to be.

I know everyone takes this campaign really seriously, and for good reason, but this is something we can just chuckle at. Colbert makes everything exaggerated and silly, that's his gimmick and he's good at it.

Caught the end of it, what I learned:
A REAL libertarian calendar should 1. only have one month and leave it blank for the free market to decide what day it is and 2. the pinup should be a mirror, because it's all about you baby.

Dang. He must have met the backslappers here at RPF!

I saw it, alot of it was funny, I didn't care for the "mirror" part as I really saw that as deliberately saying we are selfish, but whatever, I'd say we are all going to have to brace ourselves for what is to come if Ron remains high in the polls, we all want him top tier but we have to realize alot of redicule comes with the territory, even with things that are long buried to us others have never heard of ie the racist letters, trust me, that will come up again.

On the selfish note, I always tell people, "You don't have to convince me that universal health care and charity are good things. I agree with you there. I'm just not willing to force someone to do what I believe is a good thing. I'm not willing to compromise with good and evil, and I don't buy the whole "greater good" arguement." That shuts them up.

Seriously, who is the gov't to tell us when we should celebrate the 4th of July? Haha, hey this is what happens when you're the front runner....

Um, if the government told us, it was the government of Rome for most of that stuff.
