COINTELPRO Techniques effective against this forum...

List the members you believe are using these "COINTELPRO Techniques" to further their agenda.

Gee. Seems that one sure method of stirring up crap in a group would be to instigate paranoia and question loyalties every time personalities clash.

BEDEVERE:
What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3:
Well, she turned me into a newt!

Yeah, what I would like to know is why this same OP is being posted in so many places.

Bump for the trolls and moreso for the troll fighting warriors. They seem to have believed that all the best troll pwners would be in Minnesota and came out of the woodwork like roaches when the fogger goes off in the next room.

We are individuals. But if we choose to stand together, we won't be divided--and we won't fall.

Unfortunately, some people here are not cointelpro (though there may be some here). Some people really believe some of the stuff they say, and I don't think they understand the severity of the situation and the problem with accepting the status quo to any degree. Theres a wing of the users here that accept that the government is still working for us, and theres a wing that has seen too much evidence to accept such a dark system, and the wings are made to fight eachother just like democrats and republicans, while NEITHER accomplishes their goals of freedom which they BOTH share. Its a replenishing source of division and ignorance over what Ron Paul would call "technicalities of a policy they both agree with", which is that there is something wrong with the government, the power structure, and the 2 party system. It doesn't matter if you believe the "terrorists" hit us on 9/11, it matters if you support an undying, unbiased search for the truth in any circumstance.

I don't think certain people on here share that desire, and demonstrate it with some of the things they say.

They're trolls anyways, right?

If the OP cannot positively identify the "psy-op trolls", then who is he to tell us what to look for?

Post whatever you want, but I think that personal attacks should not be tolerated. I run a forum of 14k+ people and I do not allow personal attacks. Everyone can disagree without being disagreeable.

This anarchy that seems to have cropped up in the last few days here seems to be an organized attempt to undermine the forums. This is not a good situation.

I think a lot of innocent people are being caught in the crossfire too, so I advise everyone to bunker up and not take anything too personally. When it finally sorts out, things will be a lot clearer.

Legitimate questions have been, quite intentionally conflated with illegitimate attacks, in an attempt to divide. Sometimes that makes discernment very difficult. So let's be patient. :)

Lincoln was president of a slave country and was more concerned with invading a sovereign neighbor to fix their problems than freeing the slaves in his own country. Exactly what is going on now. Lincoln presided over a terroristic pre-emptive war and implemented the draft causing the largest and deadliest race riots in our history in NEW YORK CITY because most Northerners knew there was no threat from the Confederacy to their land.

Members of this forum need to be united by a few simple truths like these...

The "Civil" War was not a civil war but an invasion by one slave country into another for financial reasons not unlike wars today.

The FED is evil, immoral, and has to be eliminated in favor of hard money.

Posters saying otherwise should be shown good reference material. If they insist on lying to argue otherwise and cannot produce anything resembling credible evidence they should be banned as they are too dumb to ever understand or they are trolls.

Still, Abraham Lincoln is the most beloved president ever. If you want to be popular with the American people, you don't belittle its greatest historical figure.

Yes, but could he achieve the same greatness (and the Presidency) in today's television / image conscious society?

The Nixon / Kennedy debate forever changed the way we choose our leaders, and not for the better. Not saying that Kennedy wasn't a fine President - he probably was, but it is just the influence that the proverbial cover has over the actual book hasn't really proven to be real progress.

But TV isn't going away, and the manipulations are only going to get worse.

With Abraham Lincoln, we are talking international figure. Kennedy, as we now know, couldn't keep the women from petting the hairy frog on his lap.

Gandhi really respected Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln really pulled off one for the ages by saving the Union. Consider that Gandhi couldn't acheive the same feat with the divided Muslim and Hindu people of India. The whole idea of tribalism is that there is no point in which a nation can be divided where further divisions won't then manifest themselves. So, establishing a nation is always saving the Union in a sense.
But even Lincoln himself admitted that industrial and agricultural regions in a nation generally split up to become their own seperate nations. Italy is an acception similar to the United States.

That's YOUR opinion. Many people would beg to differ, such as Thomas DiLorenzo, author of The Real Lincoln: A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War.

I guess this is what we should expect from the revisionist atheists.

Go ahead and hate on Lincoln and see where it gets you. Who is Thomas DiLorenzo? I guess this fellow is greater than Lincoln? Good luck on convincing Americans of that. This is just absurd and beyond contempt. We need to quit reading if this is the outcome. For cripes sake.

Speaking of DiLorenzo, did anyone catch his interview on C-Span Book Review 2-3 weeks ago?

He seems like a very level headed guy that does not like jumping to conclusions.

How can revisioning the history of Abraham Lincoln be considered level headed and not jumping to conclusions? You may as well go to China to ridicule Confucius & Buddha or go to India to speak negative about Gandhi.

If your conclusion is as follows: Abraham Lincoln was an idiot but, yes, he was ten times the man of DiLorenzo.
Well, I'll agree with this as will most Americans.

I just can't help but sense racism in this type of thinking. The South lost in the Civil War. The Loyalist colony of New York lost in the Revolutionary war as did other Loyalist states. The vast majority of us are losers. Get over it.

Well, the point DiLorenzo was tryin to make is, he wanted to take a hard look at Abraham Lincoln the person, and not the symbol he is.
Some of DiLorenzo's analysis and conclusions were flawed and agenda-based, but he brought up points that the historical society is not willing to delve into.

The vast majority Southerners did not own slaves, or care about slaves in anyway, but they fought for their state and southern union. Tens of thousands of blacks enlisted in the Confederate Army, even though the North offered their people freedom. Same thing in the war against British rule, African descendants fought for the Colonies even when Britain offered their people freedom. They were fighting for their people, not for their government or the slave owners.
Claiming the Civil War was even partly to free the slaves in the beginning, is extreme revisionist history. If the slave states stayed in the union and ignored an emancipation proclamation years later, the federal government would be very slow to enforce that decree, and with little force, but eventually it would of happened with several years.

uhhhh no, most cared enormously about slaves.

who (in terms of labor) can compete with "free?"

can you?

they cared.

We're not civil rights activists or hippies, but we still threaten the status quo, and so we can learn many a lesson by examining the COINTELPRO that took place in the 60's.

Check out a movie called " Steal This Movie" and then also a book called "Steal This Book"

The movie is a biopic about a hippie organizer and protester named Abbot Hoffman, there is a lot of stuff in there about the kinda COINTELPRO that was used against him.

Steal This Book actually has nothing to do with COINTELPRO, but rather is a manual for living off papers. useful lessons never the less. Its a little outdated, but some methods are tried and true.

My point is that while the protesters of generations passed may have had differing ideologies, but they threatened the status quo all the same, we share a common enemy. So while you should ignore all the hippie crap they talk, you should definately listen and learn from their experiences clashing with the man.

Techniques? Really?

Unless there's actual evidence that agents actually do these things in forums, I'm inclined to believe that what we're seeing are not COINTELPRO techniques, but rather the product of how schizophrenic, frivolous and unfocused people become on the Internet.

RPFs look just like the forums everywhere else, even the ones that aren't about politics. Hyperventilation over non-issues, the overblowing of real issues, bitter fights over petty differences, the unfortunate creep down the page of good topics as other users re-post new ones to get on the front page... They happen elsewhere just as much as they do here.

I doubt anyone outside the movement cares a great deal about what happens on the forums. As long as you're indoors, on the Internet, posting on a forum, you pose no threat to the status quo.

Interesting overview analysis.<IMHO> ;)

Thanks! :)
