Mitt Romney won–he looks like a President and he acts like a President and he’s got the solutions to the challenges this country faces–just ask Jim Cramer the Wall Street guru, he agrees!

Ron Paul was ultimately convincing on all topics and will be our hope for a new Renaissance in these united States!
Posted By Sandor Bors, Rochester,NY : June 5, 2007 10:05 pm

Ron Paul was the strongest candidate tonight. It is clear to see he is the OnLY honest candidate. His answers were straightfoward and unrehearsed. The others are sinply actors who create a show for the American public. I hope America doesnt’ fall for fancy wordplay and votes for the TRUE American candidate that follows our Constitution.
Posted By Priscilla Masur, Ridgefield Park New Jersey : June 5, 2007 10:05 pm

Dr. Paul was the only candidate who honestly answered every question.

Please, everyone who supports Dr. Paul should support his candidacy with their financial donations. This is the only way that he will convince the corrupt, cynical, jaded media that he is a viable candidate deserving of more coverage.
Posted By Richard B., Beverly Hills, CA : June 5, 2007 10:05 pm

Just like in the Democratic debate, there was nothing from the front-runners. How can anyone actually support these people?

Mitt Romney was awful. Did he actually say anything of substance? All I heard was a bunch “ain’t America great?” platitudes along with some stuff about selling products. Loved how he used the abortion question to run through all of his conservative credentials like he thought the debate was over and he’d better say this list of things. Well played, sir.

Rudy Giuliani actually made a good start with the idea of the tax credit to go buy your own health insurance and then degenerated into the “socialized medicine” claptrap. And poor John McCain. It’s been 7 years since the Straight Talk Express and it looks like that’s been parked in the roundhouse. Only place he looked like the old John McCain was on immigration.

Here’s who stood out to me: Ron Paul. I already like this guy’s willingness to break out of the bipartisan “indispensible nation” b.s. We’ve got a lot of problems here at home we need to be fixing before we start trying to run everybody else’s affairs. Mike Huckabee also came off well (although, yes, the Taliban can take some of the credit for the collapse of the Soviet Union. Afghanistan did turn into the USSR’s Vietnam after all). Duncan Hunter had a good point about state-to-state restrictions on health insurance, wish he’d gotten a chance to expound on what he’d do about that. And Sam Brownback, well, I deeply disagree with him on abortion and other morals issues, but I think he’s got a point that faith and science don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

If this thing ends up Rudy McRomney vs. Hilbama, I’ll probably end up voting 3rd party again.
Posted By Andy, Billings, Montana : June 5, 2007 10:05 pm

Ron Paul, hands down! We’re behind you, Ron!
Posted By Charles Santos, Houston, Texas : June 5, 2007 10:07 pm

These guys say that the preservation of life is the most important moral issue but then will consider a nuclear first strike that will kill countless innocents. An insane policy!

Thank God for Ron Paul for calling them out on it.
Posted By Fran Channel, Houston, TX : June 5, 2007 10:07 pm

I thought Romney was just Terrible. He spoke Over the host, many, many times. Thats just rude. Besides, Nothing he said made sense, so it only made me angry hearing him continue like that.

Mostly though, these people scare me. Premptive Nuclear War? God help us. I just started following the canidates a little bit, and this is what they are talking about?

The only person on that whole stage that made any sense at all was Ron Paul, I’d never even heard of him much before, but this guy speaks directly to the question. No puffing. I wish he would’ve gotten a little more time to talk on other issues.
Posted By Ben, Portland Oregon : June 5, 2007 10:10 pm

Ron Paul was clear and forthright. He is the one candidate that understands the Constitution. He is therefore, the only candidate suited for the White House.
Posted By Kirk Beck : June 5, 2007 10:11 pm

I hope the people in New Hampshire are reading this and took note of Dr. Paul tonigt. Because God knows if they are watching CNN right now they are going to vote for McCain, Mitt, or Rudy.
Posted By Allen Sircy, Nashville, TN : June 5, 2007 10:11 pm

As rare as it may be in politics these days, people recognize integrity, sound-reasoning, and statesmanship when they see it. Ron Paul radiates all three with every word that he utters and won the debate hands-down.
Posted By JJ La Medica : June 5, 2007 10:13 pm

I believe Ron Paul won, but I saw some strong showings from Romney, and Huckabee. I was disgusted by Giuliani, Brownback, and Tancredo.

Ron Paul made some of the best points.
Romney was very presenteable, and Huckabee’s evolution speech was handled very well.
Posted By G. Alencar II, Ft. Lauderdale, FL : June 5, 2007 10:13 pm

Dr. Ron Paul is the only candidate who gave real conservative Republican answers to all of the questions. He is clearly the best suited to carry the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
Posted By Nick, Urbana IL : June 5, 2007 10:14 pm

Ron Paul won the debate. He was the only candidate that supported freedom, liberty, and small government. In addition, he is the only one who opposes the USA forcing it’s will on other nations.
Posted By Robert Jones : June 5, 2007 10:19 pm

RON PAUL is the Winner!!!
As a champion for the Constitution…
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

The Champion of the Constitution … Ron Paul!
Posted By Al, Hagerstown, MD : June 5, 2007 10:26 pm

I am amused by the droves of Ron Paul fanatics who turn out on the web to vote for Ron.

Funny that of all the candidates, he has raised by far the least.

So maybe instead of voting for free on here, you can send him some money, eh?

Lol.

The bridge to nowhere, that is where the GOP is going; absolutely nowhere. Let’s burry the nuclear waste in their GOP’s backyards; take a vacation to Chernobyl. Bush “apres office”…send him Dafar. Invoking or conjuring-up Abe Lincoln, who freed the slaves; not give big business opportunity a profit on $1.00 per hour illegal. Devaluating the job for American citizens to earn a $5.25 per hour pay. What bad drugs did Giuliani smoke…emphasizing national security, when he was repeated told not to put the NYC office of security in the WTC, reflecting on 1993 attack. The GOP is sending a bad message to our “enemies…who want to do us harm.” We’re idiots!
Posted By F Douglas, Brooklyn, NY : June 5, 2007 10:31 pm

The bad thing is is that the average Joe doesn’t watch debates they watch the recap on CNN or Fox news and form their opinions there. We are screwed because they ignore Ron Paul and only cover Rudy, Romney, and McCain.
Posted By Allen Sircy, Nashville, TN : June 5, 2007 10:31 pm

I concur with everyone else, it was only RON PAUL who spoke any sense on that stage, 90% of the rest was just pandering by celebrity candidates who don’t care at all about us citizens and our rights.
Posted By Paul, Boone NC : June 5, 2007 10:31 pm

I am not a Fox fan, but I must say they did a better job than CNN. Too much Wolf talking and not enough balance between all the candidates. The post debate shows were even worse. Just Rudy and Mitt and McCain…how lame. Everyone is tied in delegates. SHOW EVERYBODY! No to empire…Yes to Liberty and Freedom…Go Ron Paul!
Posted By Paul Columbus, OH : June 5, 2007 10:31 pm

A no brainer RON Paul The only guy to get our butt out of Iraq the others just want to nuke Iran and start world war III So the neo-con can take over the world anyone one can see it My children can why can’t CNN as another poster said maybe its time we start marching on the media cause THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL BE HEARD

Ron Paul

Ron Paul provided straight answers that were to the point, unlike most of the other candidates who used a lot of words and wasted a lot of time but didn’t really say anything definitive.

I don’t know if I can claim Ron Paul won tonight… seemed as if the both the questioners and Wolfe tried their best to keep him quiet.

It does not matter. Ron Paul is still the only candidate with a message that makes sense.

Ron Paul won again, but the talking head political analyst types would never report that…or even refer to him as a “legitimate” candidate. The media is as out of touch and unacquainted with truth as most of the other candidates running.

Ron Paul is the clear winner of all three debates! Guilliani and McCain litterally made fools of themselves! They definately have the gift of gab and by not knowing when to shut up, disrespected the other candidates and robbed them of fair time. Ron Paul was definately the best spoken most honest and best dressed candidate tonight! He is America’s hero!

Wake up…Rudy Giuliani clearly overtook the GOP debate, and will no doubt make nomination. His distinctive views allow him a separation from other GOP candidates. Watch the highlights, again.
Posted By Vincent Lustrinelli, Syracuse NY : June 5, 2007 10:44 pm

I believe the honorable Dr. Ron Paul outperformed all the other candidates. In the short time he was allotted, he answered each question to the point, citing appropriate historical references, and in general showed intellectual rigor and thought in his answers. no resorting to popular catch phrases.

This man is intelligent as anything.
Posted By Gunjan, Durham, NC : June 5, 2007 10:44 pm

Many of the candidates seemed somewhat flakey, and flip-flopped on issues they had said differently about before in their career.

I believe Ron Paul shined in this debate because he made it clear that our foreign policy is NOT working, so why stick with old tactics if they arent working?

He stands for TRUE conservatism and he is the ONLY Republican that would be able to get Independent and Democratic votes. I vote Ron Paul.

However all that changed when I saw Ron Paul in the 1st debate. How can someone with so much integrity and honor ,not too mention intelligence , be such an unknown? Id never heard of him!

Since the 1st debate Iv watched all his speeches on Google Video/Youtube and his website ( ronpaul2008 dot com ) and theres NO WAY i’ll support any1 else .

RON PAUL!!!! CNN is biased for McCain, Giuliani, and McRonmney and it showed that they wanted to spotlight their “three headed monster”. WHAT A SELLOUT.
RON PAUL was among the other few outsiders that were not allowed most of the questions like Rudy McRomney. However, Dr. Paul’s answers were clear, truthful, powerful and convincing. Those so called top three are the three stooges that are clearly independent of our nation’s opinions on key agendas. GO RON PAUL.

CNN IS NOT FAIR AND BALANCED WHATSOEVER!!!!

Ron Paul is the outstanding candidate in every issue because he holds TRUE to the principles of the Constitution, which is America’s foundation for government.

May God help our country…you can help by learning more about Dr. Paul and electing him for 2008!!!!

Apparently God won the debate since nearly all the candidates attributed everything great in American to God and everything bad in America to illegial immigrants. Kudos to God. Good job.
I am an absolutely firm believer in a secular society. In this regard, I was very happy with Ron Paul for not catoring to the Christian fundamentalists by stating that the most pressing moral issue of our time was our emerging preemptive war doctrine.

Mccain won easily with his touching moment with the sister of the fallen serviceman. This ron paul nonsense is insane to me. The man is a raving, isolationist lunatic. He’s a joke and I can’t figure out if all this “web support” is just feeding into the joke or actual other lunatics that believe in this nonsense. Isolationist policies have never worked and his views are so extreme that I would literally fear for america if he ever got any traction in the election.
Posted By Ryan, Portland OR : June 5, 2007 10:59 pm

Ron Paul clearly won, even though the joke “debate” was biased against Mr. Paul and the studio guests were pre-approved as to not ask “undesirable” or real questions. This was a staged event. CNN and the corporate controlled, criminal MSM are totally un-American and need to be held accountable for constantly lying to the public. We know you are doing by giving all the debate time to the criminal Goul and marginalizing the only real candidate Ron Paul. I do not trust CNN at all. They constantly lie and cover up the crimes of traitor Bush and his cabal.

We don’t need another Thompson in the race. Gov. Thompson is conservative enough and presented very well. Gingrich need not enter either. Duncon Hunter was strong as well. Principled and to the point. The current leaders, Guiliani, Romney, and McCain to a lessor extent are posers!

This is an awesome thread. It really sucks when the mains stream media doesn't let the people's voice be heard.

Get CNN's Undivided Attention

if enough supporters sign up for a "RON PAUL" email alert,
their server will notice.

This is a benign move which triggers various mechanisms,
not least of which would be their advertising focus groups.

I did it, it is free after all.

http://edition.cnn.com/email/

try it

SIGN UP for EVERYTHING RON PAUL. Every time you buy something at a store - tell the cashier to vote for Paul. Time is getting short. People are paralyzed. Activate them. Quit asking and just tell them.

They'll trot out the same old tired explanation about the results being invalid because of spammers or bots. I'm thinking of getting a bumper sticker made up that says "I Spam For Ron Paul". I'm getting tired of MSM pundits suggesting I'm "not real".

They'll find out how real we are when we show up at the polls this winter.

:D

Must scare the crap out of 'em.
