cnn reporting precincts

How the hell do they get off projecting McCain as the winner in those counties where 100% of the precincts have reported and some other candidate (in many cases Ron Paul) won or at least beat him?

I can't speak for other counties, but Stevens County, remember it was the first one shown as 100% counted on CNN and RP supposedly got 2 delegates... Well... in Stevens County...

Ron Paul WON! Here's the email I just got from the Stevens County GOP Chair:

"Hi to all,
Had a call from the Statesman Examiner today regarding the caucus and
our totals. Wow!! 196 delegates were elected. This figure does not
include Alternates.
They come down as follows.
Ron Paul 83, Huckabee 50, McCain 24, Romney 6, Keys 2, uncommitted 18,
and appointed but not voting 13 because they weren't at the caucuses.
Look forward to seeing you all at the meeting on Saturday. We have a
lot of work to do as far as the convention and the Lincoln Day Dinner
is concerned. So much to do so little time.
See you Saturday, February 23, 11:00am

Perky Osborne
SCRCC Chair"

Eat that MSM!!!

Edit to add:
By the way, check this out and explain to me why an international news agency is allowed to outright lie to the people:

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/county/#val=WAREP4

Note the totals for the counties, and they're still projecting McCain to win. These people think the sheep are asleep or idiots or something. And in Stevens County, at least, the totals are all wrong according to the email I received in the post above. Wow.

i think the washington state gop are the idiots, cnn just runs the numbers given to them.

This is invaluable information if/when the good Doctor actually runs for the Presidency. We can focus our efforts country by county.

Props to the Eastside

i'm still hoping for a good result from the old-school puget sounders, but i want to say thanks to Spokane and everyone East of the Cascades.

Go Zags (and Pullman CC) :)

OMG. They are projecting McCain the winner in counties where Ron Paul won. Paul's winning by a frickin' landslide.

He isn't winning, he's third.

It says at the bottom on CNN that it adds up all the county's and projects a winner based on the total number and then places the projected winner/one with the most votes at the top of each county table.

I got excited there for a little while, but when you browse through all the pages and look at the front page... he didn't win and it's from the 9th....

Could this be why RP didn't do so well in King County? Interesting timing.

SPECIAL UPDATE
February 18, 2008

Michael Young, Chairman
A MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN MICHAEL YOUNG
Dear Fellow King County Republican,

I’m writing you regarding some changes at the King County Republican Party.

As of February 19th, I am resigning as Chairman of the KCGOP. I want to thank you for the confidence you’ve given me over the last eleven years. It was a privilege to serve first as a District Chairman, then three terms on the State Executive Board, one term as your State Committeeman and three years as Chairman. It was a labor of love and I will always remain grateful for the opportunity given me.

I have accepted a new role as the Western Washington Coordinator for the John McCain campaign. For me, Senator McCain represents an exciting new opportunity for our country and for us here in Washington State. I look forward to working with all of you in electing a new Republican President this year.

I would never have considered such a step were there not a strong, well-suited person ready to take on the role of Chairman. I am endorsing Senior Vice Chairman Lori Sotelo to lead the KCGOP as Chairman for the remainder of my term. It is vital that Lori receives your support as she prepares to lead our County Party. I believe in Lori’s leadership abilities and am excited to have her as our new Chairman.

It was an honor to have served you and I look forward to a continued role with the King County Republican Party as all of us work toward electing Republicans across our state and county this fall.

Sincerely,

Michael Young
Chairman

Is anyone keeping a list of politicians we need to remove from office with Proservative/Ron Paul candidates?

:)

Now uncommitted has a lot, so if Paul people are the majority of those uncommitteds, I'd say we maybe won.

this is a auto mccain win since 20k ballots were thrown out, plus it appears most votes are done by mail in WA so they are older votes.
