apparently this is because the super delegates. There is nowhere near as many in the Republican nomination as the dems, but there is 100 something of them (governors and party leaders)....11 of those have gone Romney, 2 Perry and 1 Santorum so far. Democrats include representatives and senators in there super delegates.
Romney's 11, Santorum's 1, and Perry's 2 has NOTHING to do with Iowa. They are party leaders, etc. that get to have a vote and automatically be a delegate themselves. This is nation wide. The 7's were for Iowa.
