looks like Ron Paul isn't so favorable at this point. He needs to make himself more mainstream without compromising his ideology.

These are encouraging numbers. We just need to make Ron more attractive to women and we've got this won.

Thank you!

Did I read it wrong or did they fail to poll enough non-whites to get a statistical sample for ANY GOP candidate?

(I guess that was a glitch while they were editing. The numbers are up now.)

Huckabee 47%, Obama 48% (-1%)
Romney 46%, Obama 47% (-1%)

Knowledge is power. Lets develop a plan to exploit this information

We need videos etc targeting independents to change voter registration to GOP so they can vote for Ron in the primary 'or you may never have the chance in the general'. I'd use this CNN poll and the last April Rasmussen poll showing Ron dominating with independents and a version of a message 'last time, you never got a chance to vote for him, and polls show that if you had, he could have won.' The 'he couldn't win' meme convinces people it isn't going to do any good so it isn't worth the (really minimal) effort to change registration. 'Don't let that happen again. Switch your registration to GOP and vote for Ron Paul in the primaries' Then the url to change their registration and the deadline date to do so. This would be great for door hangers.... Or people canvasing to have registration stuff, I wonder if there is a legal problem with canvasing and registering people? I don't know, and we'd have to be clear on restrictions.

I like this. I also think we can target women by pointing out that he is a Ob/Gyn and issues that affect them.

Easy way to exploit the information, regarding pro-choice women:

Ron Paul is legislatively against federally banning abortion.

That alone would probably cut Obama's advantage in half.

Maybe, I don't know many pro choice women where that is a defining factor in their vote when it comes right down to it, but maybe that is just the ones I know. I think most of the women thing, sociologically speaking, is that studies have shown women to be more likely to be one paycheck from getting aid and heads of single parent families. I think it is the subsidies, but I could be wrong. I do think when Ron's actual social security legislative (not philosophical) position is out there he will pick up a lot of people who have paid in to social security and don't think it will be there for them. It will also get them rooting against the endless wars, which isn't a bad thing, either....:D

Most apt response is:

Yes. :D

It's the fking women vote

I wish Ron's staff would be fking smart enough to fking hire a fking PR firm and task them with fking figuring out why fking women tend to fking dislike Ron so much more compared to men and make fking suggestion on how to fking better appeal to them.

Is it really so hard to run a competent fking presidential campaign?

FK!

My wife feels that the vast majority of women vote with their eyes and not their brains.

The only candidate that does better than RP with women is Huckabee, and not by much. So I consider that a win for right now.

Honestly Ron and his staff haven't played up his credentials to women at all.

Show Ron with baby pictures, show Ron in his scrubs, have Ron talk about being married for 50+ years. He's a baby doctor for christ sake! He's performed surgery on women to save their life....rinse, repeat. This isn't rocket science. Watch this video of Ron and the women in it are eating it up.
