The only part they missed:

"Those people supporting and educated by Ron Paul must be much bigger than we thought - or allowed the American public to know."

"This is unprecedented," said Jeff Ventura, communications director for the House's chief administrator.
"We know it's in the millions," he said of the number of e-mails that lawmakers in the House have been receiving. "But we haven't counted yet, because when you're about to get hit by a tidal wave, you don't count the drops of water in the wave."

Well done Folks. Keep it up.

this is awesome. maybe al gore can fix the internet like he is going to fix the environment - by lying!

They didn't really explain the stopgaps. I wonder if that means they're just dropping certain traffic so that people can view the websites, ie, discarding emails.

That CNN article was last updated yesterday, Tues. around 5pm ET, so the emails were still flooding in a day AFTER the vote... Was everybody writing again to say Thank You? ;-)

I liked this part:

"This really tells us that the level of constituent engagement on this issue is extremely high," he added.

Uhhhh yay uh!

Let's hope the Senate website is being bombarded today...
