CNN: "The action became deeply personal when Paul repeated his charge that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was a "chicken hawk" who avoided military service. Paul said Gingrich had obtained several deferments to stay at home with his family.
"I'm trying to stop the wars but at least I went when they called me up," said Paul, who served as a surgeon in the Air Force. "When I was drafted, I was married and had two kids, and I went."
Gingrich, the one-time front-runner in the polls, snapped back, citing his father's military service and accusing Paul of having a "long history of saying things that are false."
"I think I have a pretty good idea of what it's like as a family to worry about your father getting killed and I personally resent the kinds of comments and aspersions he routinely makes without accurate information and then just slurs people," Gingrich added.

The truth: However, when Paul said "when I was drafted, I was married and had two kids, and I went", that was the last thing that was said. Gingrich never "snapped back". Gingrich looked horrible in that exchange but the CNN story paints an entirely different picture.

Yeah, Paul`s comeback totally nailed Gingrich. We should blast CNN with emails and tweets.

that kind of thing is pretty typical, but in this case I don't think it's bad enough to worry about.

im glad santorum is finished

Based on what exactly? He is polling okay in NH and a strong third in SC. The only way he goes out is if the money runs dry, someone asks him to drop out or whatever. Santorum is staying through SC at least. Anything can happen till then. He's still a total POS though for repeating the hoax that Ron is not a conservative but a "libertarian." Libertarians are conservative. They just aren't right wing fascist pigs like Rectorum is.

Who's toast? Perry should have dropped out after Iowa. He's polling 1% in NH and 5% in SC. Now that is DONE. The icing on the cake was, "I'll send troops back into Iraq." LMAO

For all the good it'll do throw in a lot of CAP LOCKS and red coloring. And add a few emoticons. I'm sure that will get them to change their 24/7 attack ads.

what, CNN deliberately twisting things against Dr. Paul... I'm so surprised, I'd never expect that

really not that big of a deal. i don't read between the line of quotes. its misquoting and leaving out certain parts of quotes that would get to me

The chronology of each candidates' statements has a dramatic impact on the narrative. CNN is wrong to change the chronology; it is a mischaracterization of the exchange.

I do. They totally changed the narrative. They lied, is what they did, and they need to quit lying.

Exactly. No matter how bad it is they need to be held accountable if they want top be credible.

The way CNN says it makes Paul look like he was attacking Newt for caring about his family.
