Holerry sheeet.

Hillary Clinton accused four potential GOP presidential rivals by name of being "scared of letting citizens have their say" as she called Thursday for every American to automatically be registered to vote.

Clinton told an audience at the historically black Texas Southern University that she supports the concept of signing every American up to vote as soon as they're eligible at age 18, unless they specifically opt out. She called for expanded access to polling places, keeping them open for at least 20 days and offering voting hours on evenings and weekends.

For the first time in her campaign, she attacked her likely opponents by name as she laid into four GOP governors -- Texas's Rick Perry, Wisconsin's Scott Walker, Florida's Jeb Bush and New Jersey's Chris Christie -- telling them to "stop fear-mongering about a phantom epidemic of voter fraud."

...and expiring fifty years after they die.

Except in Chicago. Dead can vote as many times for as many years as they like.

Perhaps Rand was not mentioned because he thinks it is a bad idea for Republicans to push for them. He is not pushing for voter ID laws though he supports them in concept.

Just last month:

Rand Paul says Voter ID laws offend people

Senator Rand Paul had some surprising things to say about the effect of voter ID laws. He said that "everyone has gone crazy" over voter ID measures and that the drive to protect the ballot is "offending people."

The Hill:

“Everybody’s gone completely crazy on this voter ID thing,” Paul told The New York Times. “I think it’s wrong for Republicans to go too crazy on this issue because it’s offending people.”

Democrats have blasted the effort in Republican states to enact strict voter identification laws, arguing they disproportionately affect minority voters. Paul acknowledged Friday that much of the animosity surrounding the debate centers on race.

Republicans claim the laws are essential to combat voter fraud. In past comments, Paul has acknowledged fraud exists but that "Republicans may have overemphasized this. I don't know."

He supports them but thinks it is a mistake to make a big issue of them because it may turn voters against them.

Her complaints about the Republican governors: Perry signed a law that courts later ruled intentionally discriminated against minority voters; Walker signed one that made voting more difficult for college students; Christie rejected an expansion of early voting; and Bush oversaw a purge of the state's voter rolls.

I mean, it's pretty clear that she's singling out governors who she feels are responsible for suppressing voting rights. Why mention Paul at all when he hasn't done that? It'd just paint him in a negative light alongside these four.

I find it weird you have to register to vote in the first place. I mean it's your right to vote, so why do you lose that right if you don't register in time? There's absolutely no reason to have to register. Your municipality already knows you're a resident. And it's kind of important to be able to prove you are who you say you are. There should be a voter ID card and the person working at the poll confirms the card's number with the number next to your name in the book. Or if you don't have that, you can show government photo ID. It's quite simple.

Maybe she should run on the GOP ticket this time,

Seems everyone else is jumping in. Waters can hardly get muddier.

Call me a conspiracy nut, but I think it's to take all the attention away from Rand Paul. By the time the GOP is done there's going to be 30 candidates.

Rand has been pushing to do a lot of sentencing reform and voter right re-instatement. Highly fuckin relevant to the topic I think.

This article and nothing Clinton says here has anything to do with sentencing reform or voter re-instatement, it's about voter suppression, so while similar, not really relevant in her mind. If she'd been talking about reform, then maybe, but she's not.
