Dunno where they got these people from to take this poll....but thats rigged if I ever saw something rigged.

Support for renewal peaks among Republicans, 73% of whom back the law. Democrats largely agree, with 63% saying the law should be renewed. Independents are least apt to back it, with 55% saying renew it and 42% let it expire. Liberals, regardless of partisan affiliation, are most likely to say the law should not be renewed, 50% say so while 48% want to see it renewed.

Well I guess that means 40% don't, a sizeable number.

How about collecting the data on the 60%?

That should lower the costs significantly.

Utter bullshit. Sample size problem perhaps but I don't believe this for a second

Great timing though.. Assholes

Sample size and politics. CNN has always subtly backed the police state. All their coverage on the debate has been pro-renewal. No surprise the people who like CNN like the PATRIOT Act, they're all autocrats. Politics still shocks me sometimes. I was watching CNN's coverage of the Senate debate over the renewal of the PATRIOT Act, how Rand Paul is doing everything he can to obstruct it so it expires completely. On one side he has members in his party, including that autocrat Mitch McConnell, fighting him every inch using non-existent threats as justification for the Act, and on the other he has the White House arguing that not only would not renewing the PATRIOT Act be bad for American "security" but also would, and I kid you not, "threaten the civil liberties of the American people." A few years ago Obama was acknowledging that the PATRIOT Act violated civil liberties but called in necessary. Talk about a change in tune. He also vowed to have one of the most transparent administrations in history, and yet here his Administration is calling for the power to be the most secretive in history so he can continually violate civil liberties without being held legally responsible. And of course CNN was all for it. It's all lies within lies and is absolutely reprehensible.

LOL...you guys are whistling past the graveyard.

I'll wager the number is ever higher.

Where do you get the idea that your typical Boobus knows about, cares about, or wants freedom?

Yet another triumph, for bogus BS government brainwashing propaganda. :p

VOTE! -- harder, early and often! :p

This is why Rand didn't hit a knockout in the debate against Christie. Worrying about privacy is SO last year. This year it is taco eaters, ISUS and domestic muslim terrorists. The electorate changed and Rand is running on last years issues of the week. However by election it maybe something else.

You just have to make it real. Talk about the IRS targeting of Conservative Groups and how the DHS considers Christians, Conservatives, and Constitutionalists to be the #1 Terrorist threat. Easy way to get people on your side, but Rand never really uses that to his advantage. He's too abstract in the way he talks about it.

Nope. The republicans believe they will be in power and they can use it on democrats.

That's all fine and dandy, but we have Mexicans and South American Mestizos to worry about, so we can't really be concerned about the freedom and rights of Conservative Groups, Christians and Constitutionalists. Heck, those groups all sound kinda Mexican to the average Trump supporter. (sarcasm)

Why? Because you don't like the results, it's rigged?

This. If you asked 9 out of 10 Boobus what NSA data collection entailed they would say spying on teh turrists.
