CNBC GOP Debate on Oct 28th - Who will qualify?

They can't even keep Carly's poll numbers up, Jindal would need an exorcism to wake up his top secret campaign, and they have now opened fire on Trump full auto. If Trump doesn't implode soon then this will be Hillary's race to lose.

I've read several articles that say everyone was going to be on stage, and that were hoping that there were going to be additional drop outs so it isn't crowded.

I certainly won't be watching it if Rand isn't there. Probably in their best interest to include him even if they don't give him much time. But Rand does need to do something to show some improvement in his poll numbers soon.

Rand will be there. But judging from their selected crowd they are allowing seats, don't expect any applause to anything Rand says on stage. Which means, expect the sheep at home to perceive a poor debate performance yet again.

Expect them to give standing ovations when Bush tells them his brother was the greatest US president ever, and Cheney the best VP. Then expect the post debate media spinners to go:

- "Wow, I didn't think Bush was gonna be THAT popular, I guess the grassroots finally see how great that period was".
- "Yeah, towards the end of the George W. presidency some naysayers were tired of the wars, but now all republicans are realising that the Iraq war was the only thing keeping us safe all along."

The only way Rand will get any decent applause lines would be if he said generic bullshit like: "Everybody on this stage would be 100 times better than Hillary"...

Rubio supports increases in defense spending without any decrease in spending so that makes him a neoconservative.

Altogether apart from military spending, he's still not a fiscal conservative. His whole career, including when he was a state legislator, has been a pursuit of bigger government.

im kinda nervous about this next one. something tells me they will make rules to exclude rand no matter how he is doing.

Regardless of who makes the fight ticket, if CNBC is doing the debate, you should be very, very concerned about how they filter the messages of the candidates.

Last polls from today and yesterday were devastating. Rand now only 10th in RCP average, trailing Kasich. :(

Lets hope they get 10 on stage. If it will be only 7 or 8, he must do better in next polls. Christie, Huckabee and Kasich are not far away.

Doesn't RCP only average the top 4 last Polls? Would CNBC have a date set that includes other polls?

I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the number to 8. they have to publish rules very soon.

The 4 stooges should be out of the race by then, they'll likely keep the remaining candidates in the same debate.

Well, Gilmore was allowed to participate even at the "kid's table", so I guess they will make a rule by which only 10 or 8 candidates will be allowed to the debate. Well, no idea, lets hope they publish news on that soon.

At this point, Rand might actually get more press from being excluded than he does from participating. :(

“Let’s just say the goal is to create a threshold that candidates have to meet to qualify for the stage rather than committing to putting 10 candidates on the stage. And I don’t think we should commit to more than 10-candidate debates. You have to be viable. So now we’re in debate three it’s time to show viability and only the viable ones survive,” Todd said during an interview on ESPN radio last week.

“You can do it a couple different ways. I don’t believe in setting a set number. I think maybe you come up with 'oh are you at 5 percent or more in Iowa or New Hampshire' you can create a sort of floor, no more 4-percenters get in, no more 3-percenters get in.”

Rand doesn't even have 5% in New Hampshire or Iowa. They are going to exclude him. Rand really should be airing ads in those two states. Look at how much Kasich has risen.
