Clinton / Obama tickets vs Romney / Paul ticket

Get real. Romney is a neocon and CFR, on top of that he says anything to win,
no moral or honesty at all. LOL, tired of seeing this suggested.

RP & Romney - neither one of them are in this race for their own interests or for power. They are in this because they truly feel they can make a difference.

what a joke...

and what was romney's reason for running in mass.?

-to set himself up to run for pres. simple as that.

romney is the prime example of exactly what is wrong with this country.... grow a pair mitt-whit.

Clinton/Obama won't happen. Too many "firsts" for one ticket, plus the dual senator combo never works. Look for a white male to be chosen for either candidate's VP slot, probably a governor if it can be helped.

Romney might have asked Paul to be on the ticket with him, but the newsletter controversy makes him damaged goods. Not like it matters, though, since Paul wouldn't accept, nor would he ask Romney to be his VP. Too many differences on foreign policy, monetary policy, civil liberties, executive power, possibly even fiscal policy (Romney's promising jobs for Michiganders), and then there are questions of sincerity (that is, is Multiple Choice Mitt even reliable on the issues he claims to agree with Paul on?).

If Hillary and Obama team up - whether Hillary is Pres and Obama is VP or vice versa - we will need a strong team to stop them.

Out of all of the candidates out there - if Ron Paul were to join up as a VP or with them as a VP - Romney would be the one to do it with. Of course Romney and Ron Paul would need to compromise in some areas, but with that said - I see common ground between them.

Romney and Paul are both for eliminating spending except within our means. They are both for cutting taxes although RP is for eliminating the income tax. I think Romney could be converted to that cause. Romney and Ron Paul are both for legal immigration but anti illegal immigrants. Romney is for a withdrawal of troops over time whereas RP is for an immediate withdrawal. Romney is a turnaround guru for failing economies / companies / governments / the Olympics and Ron Paul has the idea / vision from our founding fathers from which Romney and Ron Paul could implement the solution - that will 1) rescue our dollar, 2) restore our liberties, 3) keep hillary / obama out of the white house, 4) eliminate wasteful spending, 5) protect our borders.

This whole thread is just silly.

News flash, people, NONE of the other Republicans is going to pick Ron Paul as VP- in case you haven't noticed, they treat him like he has leprosy (when they bother to acknowledge him at all).

Its either Ron Paul on top of the ticket or not on the ticket at all...

What a fly on the wall would hear:

Mitt Romney: Ron Paul, I can't win without your supporters. Please be my VP.

Ron Paul: Not so funny now, am I beeeoooottcchh!?!
:D

I've said I liked McCain before as my non-RP GOP choice ... but after his CNN attack and more exposure to his view of wanting permanent bases ... I really really like Romney.

Same immigration policy.
Both have the brains to fix the economy.

Differing views on the war ... but, remember, Romney has shown that he'll swing to the popular position ... so maybe some convincing might help.

Won't do a ton of good for the war on drugs, but who will?

I would 100% vote for a Romney/Paul ticket.

Why, oh why, would Romney choose RP out of all the thousands of neocons holding public office? IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, THEY ARE COMPLETE OPPOSITES ON VIRTUALLY ISSUE!!! Romney is a complete sellout, he'll only say what people want to hear just to get elected. Notice how he never says HOW he'll actually do anything to "save the economy" or any of that crap.

I would rather see a Paul/Obama ticket. That would be something there. And before you get all in my face about it go actually read about Obama, he's more conservative than Huckabee. His health care plan is basically the free market solution people have been looking for and his technology plan to open up the government is great.

go to obama's site - look at economy under issues

obama will create higher corporate taxes and more of the same tax system we currently have. He is for government / fed solutions to problems = growing the federal government. He is pretty opposite from Ron Paul or Mitt Romney for that matter.

With that said - if I had to choose between Huckaboom and Obama - i would vote obama because the huckster is off his rocker on the religion / pastor in chief thing. A friend of mine that is a big time Obama supporter and die hard democrat said that if Hillary gets nominated he will vote republican. i'm trying to convert him to a Ron Paul supporter

Romney? Thompson is more conservative than Romney. At least Thompson talks about the constitution and federalism and has always done that. When is the last time Romney mentioned those?
