If Hillary and Obama team up - whether Hillary is Pres and Obama is VP or vice versa - we will need a strong team to stop them.

Out of all of the candidates out there - if Ron Paul were to join up as a VP or with them as a VP - Romney would be the one to do it with. Of course Romney and Ron Paul would need to compromise in some areas, but with that said - I see common ground between them.

Romney and Paul are both for eliminating spending except within our means. They are both for cutting taxes although RP is for eliminating the income tax. I think Romney could be converted to that cause. Romney and Ron Paul are both for legal immigration but anti illegal immigrants. Romney is for a withdrawal of troops over time whereas RP is for an immediate withdrawal. Romney is a turnaround guru for failing economies / companies / governments / the Olympics and Ron Paul has the idea / vision from our founding fathers from which Romney and Ron Paul could implement the solution - that will 1) rescue our dollar, 2) restore our liberties, 3) keep hillary / obama out of the white house, 4) eliminate wasteful spending, 5) protect our borders.

Romney wants to eliminate income tax for everyone making 200,000 or less.

If Romney got the ticket, he would have to pull us out of Iraq. Otherwise, I don't see Paul joining him. I don't think Romney is a civil rights advocate either.

Romney is the only one I would even SLIGHTLY consider.

I think with Ron in as VP it would make major impact. His role as VP could keep him to the ear of Romney constantly.

Huskster -- no way.
McCain -- no way.
Thompson -- <laugh> No Way
JulieJani -- <gag> Hell no.

I think that ticket would win.

Look how much impact Darth Vader (VP) has had on Bush.

Romney wants MORE troops in the middle east.
RP wants peace.

How in the hell would this work out?

Romney would have to listen and learn from Dr Paul on foreign policy.

I guess he's already taken a step in that direction by saying he might bring home troops from Korea, Europe, etc.

Romney would also have to give up pushing for his social moral agenda on this country. I dont know if hed do that.

I dont see a Clinton/Obama ticket doing well.

Romney wants MORE troops in the middle east.
RP wants peace.

How in the hell would this work out?

actually Romney wants to bring our troops back asap but yes i think RP could school Romney on some foreign policy stuff - again i think they could both compromise

Romney/Paul is a ticket i would not vote for....

matter of fact, i wouldn't vote for any ticket w/ Paul as VP

It's Paul, or not at all.

Plus the republicrap party has really shown their true colors with
the way they've handled themselves in this lead-up to the primaries...

DOWN WITH FASCISM!!!!!!

Sure! If Romney changes his positions across the board...I suppose we could let him be President.

But really, this is a silly thread. Again with the "Any Republican is better than any Democrat...."

It just ain't so.

Besides, Romney's hair scares me.

i think of it in practical terms - do i want hillary / obama in there raising taxes and creating more government, or do i want Romney / RP in there with Romney vowing to perform an audit on washington like what a public corp goes through to cut spending, and RP in there chopping income tax and abolishing the IRS. This could be strong. For now lets keep pushing for Ron Paul and get his #'s up there.

If Ron Paul has 20% or more of the US vote and the economy keeps getting worse - and Romney gets 40% or more or vice versa - you see where im going

Romney promised a load of pork to MI and advocates soviet command and control economic policies. doubt Paul would have much time for him

if this is the scenario the GOP will lose heavily and be out in the wilderness for 8 years, they will have to change their ways and return to the platform that Ron Paul advocates

To me, the only thing keeping me from voting Romney/Paul is foreign policy.

I think a lot of Romney's read meat talk on Iraq is just BS. He probably wants to get us out of there as badly as anyone else.
