I was surprised to see Clint Eastwood do his parody of Obama the other night. I remember listening to Shawn Hannity years back when his film Million Dollar
Baby
came out, and Shawn totally trashed it because it deals with assisted suicide...now he is a hero for the RNC huh?

Roger Ebert said this of Clint Eastwood RNC speech..

“Clint, my hero, is coming across as sad and pathetic,” Ebert tweeted during Eastwood’s remarks. “He didn't need to do this to himself. It's unworthy of him.”

I'd have to say that Ebert is a doddering old fool unappreciative of the classics. His performance was grand. Clint Eastwood sat the Pooka in the chair and channeled Harvey. In Jimmy Stewart style. He made two different stabs at the GOP. And was applauded for both. He excoriated the Pooka for staying in Afghanistan so long. He also attributed to Rmoney phrasing that was not his. "I think Mr. Romney asked why are you giving the target date for bringing them home? Why don't you just bring them home tomorrow?" That wasn't a Romney line. That was a Ron Paul line.

I think Clint trolled the RNC. To applause.

Yea, the convention didn't know how to take Clint.
"He's on our side, right"?
"What, Romney said just pull out tomorrow"?
"What's he saying, it's not about party"?

Some radio talk show host (cant remember who) was trying to make it sound like the audience couldn't hear him...LOL.

I agree that Clint trolled the RNC.

He was above them by acting like a demented actor.

Fxking genius.

I actually agree everything Eastwood stated last night. Only a fool would go into the mountains of Afghanistan if you are aware of it's tumultuous history. And regarding Gitmo, I agree with him there. I don't agree with indefinite detention without trial, but under no circumstances should non-citizens be entitled to the privilege of the American justice system.

What should be done with them?

The CNN host tells THR that the legendary actor was like the 'slightly crazy uncle at a Christmas party' with his bizarre speech at the Republican convention, and an embarrassment for Mitt Romney.

I would have to say that Clint Eastwood MUST have said something right. Only the MSM tries to make sane people look crazy. (based on my observations)

Clint Eastwood definitely did steal the thunder...go to youtube and type in Mitt Romney RNC speech, look at the top results lol.

Apparently Mitt liked the speech and was laughing it up backstage...hehe, what a phony. I bet he cringed about GITMO and ending the wars.

Clint, a senile ol fart likely embarrassed Romney's senior aides...and i love him for it!

expedited military tribunals but having them sit in there for 3 to 4 years is a travesty.
Do you understand that "combatants" in the "war on terrorism" aren't actually combatants in any actual war? Please tell me you haven't bought that rubbish they've fed you. They are civilians who should be tried in civilian criminal court.

The media is so corrupt that they we won't even challenge what he stated. They just shrewdly degrade him as an old, senile grand-pappy. Sounds like someone we know. :)
