'I fly private jets to protect my family': Prince Harry says he spends '99% of his life travelling world by commercial' airline as he FINALLY addresses his globe-trotting habit - after preaching 'we can ALL do better' to help planet

-The Duke of Sussex announces a new partnership between online travel firms
-New initiative features Booking.com, SkyScanner, CTrip, TripAdvisor and Visa
-Harry and wife Meghan faced criticism after four private jet journeys in 11 days

The Duke of Sussex today insisted he flew by private jet four times in 11 days to keep his family safe as he launched a new sustainable travel initiative.

Prince Harry said he hopes the new 'Travalyst' scheme will better protect tourist destinations and their local communities for generations to come.

The Duke flew to Amsterdam by a commercial flight yesterday to launch the project this morning, and told an audience: 'We could all do better.'

In a question-and-answer session after his speech, Harry added: 'I came here by commercial. I spend 99 per cent of my life travelling the world by commercial.

'Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe. It's genuinely as simple as that.'

It comes after Harry and his wife Meghan were criticised last month after taking four private jet journeys in 11 days to and from Nice and Ibiza, rather than opting for commercial flights - despite speaking out on environmental issues.

The "do as I say, not as I do" Elitist. We commoners must do better so they can have their fun. Pffft.

He’s so far down the line of ascendancy it’s not funny. Prince Charles, then Prince William, then all three of William’s children are ahead of Harry.

And for the record, after this criticism of Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate) flew coach on a short trip to Ireland.

Why travel at all? I mean, saying it's better to fly commercial than private is like saying you're a good person if you murder one person, but a bad person if you murder four people. If you're an environment cultist, that is.

My carbon footprint is lower than most. I travel well below 2,500 miles per year (counting all modes of transport). My water consumption is about 12,000 gallons per year. My electricity usage is around 5,000 kWh per year. My meat consumption over the last 40 years is less than one ounce - in total.

If environmentalists were honest players, they would praise me for all that. But of course they don't, because I don't buy into the climate hysteria. They think they are "good" for having a certain belief, and that I'm "bad" because I hold a different belief. The fact that virtually all of them have larger carbon footprints is irrelevant to them, because it's not about what you do, it's about being part of the cult.

I'd like to fly private jets to protect my family from the TSA but I can't afford to.

I fly on commercial jets to protect my family since flying is safer than driving (as he should be well aware from his family's tradegedy).

Why should we limit jet travel again?

Prince Harry used private jets for 6 out of 10 flights since marrying Meghan Markle despite his claim he flies commercial 99% of the time

PRINCE Harry has used private jets for six out of ten flights since marrying Meghan - despite claiming to travel commercial "99 per cent" of the time yesterday.

He is facing fresh claims of hypocrisy after new analysis found the Duke of Sussex has regularly favoured private planes.

He and wife Meghan, 38, used a charter flight six times this summer while launching a bid urge the public to watch their carbon footprint.

They jetted to Nice and Ibiza over two weeks in August, creating seven times the normal amount of carbon emissions on the flights.

And as the new dad yesterday launched his new eco-tourism project in Amsterdam, he argued he always ensured his travel was carbon neutral.

The 34-year-old told the crowd he travelled "99 per cent of the time" on commercial flight.

But added: "Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe, it's genuinely as simple as that.

"As I said in my speech - it is about balance. If I have to do that - and it's not a decision I would want to take - I would ensure, as I have done previously and I will continue to make sure I do, is balance. I have always offset my CO2."

But analysis of the pair's known flights since they got married last May found six of the ten round journeys were on private jets.

They don't give a fuck about the climate. None of them. It's obvious in their actions.
