Chuck + Barr Barely Beats Nader

Even if you add Barr's 370K votes to Chucks 125K votes, together they barely beat out Nader at 454K.

If you add all 3 up, it's barely 1 million. I thought RP had 1 million primary votes, guess I thought his million plus other libertarian and other 3rd party people would equal a few million for the 3rd parties. I'm a bit disappointed in the overall 3rd party showings.

The only split was Barr/Baldwin. Nader and Mckinney aren't 100% on board. Hopefully in 2012 we will get a single third party candidate(ventura, who appeals to libertarians and the left but not so much to the right).

A lot of the folks who voted for Ron Paul during the primaries did so as a protest vote against McCain, Romney, and Huckabee, but weren't really libertarians or strict constitutionalists.
