ORIGINAL POST:

So in less than a month, I was able to pre-sell enough units and raise enough money to begin the Revolution Car Badge Project! If you want one, make sure to reserve yours now, because at this time, I'm only ordering 300 units to begin with. They will take about 8 weeks to produce, and I will hopefully place the order this week after artwork is approved.

What is the Revolution Car Badge Project?!

Check it out: www.RevolutionCarBadges.com

It will look very similar to this: http://imgur.com/Y6DP6

These are NOT the cheap, hot-stamped car emblems that tarnish over time like these: http://imgur.com/BJrd3

These will be produced using ABS high-impact injection molded plastic, will have a 3D curved top surface, and will be similar in look to this: http://imgur.com/1VDUE (without the pattern in the red)

Keep up with the project at https://www.facebook.com/RevolutionCarBadges

For Liberty,

Rob

awesome! if you can't make them without making a ron paul badge too!!

I'll buy one but I am not big on pre-orders.
If the Ron Paul every come to fruitition, I'll get that one too.

Understandable...

I hear you Lord...that was kind of creepy saying that...I hear you Lord!

It's not necessarily a pre-order anymore. I have enough money to make first production run of the Love Revolution version, and I'm working with the vendor this week to finalize artwork and will submit the order. I'll be posting all this stuff on the Facebook page, so people can feel more comfortable that they will receive what they order. The first week I sold about $300 worth, and I just want people to understand that the initial order will only be for 300 units, several of which are already spoken for.

Check out the About Me page on my website if you haven't already for another project I headed up at the RNC in Tampa that got some press!

Trust me, this will come to fruition, because I want one really bad for my own car! The lead time is the only crappy part!

So do you ship to APO addresses? (By USPS, it's like mailing to San Francisco.)

Neat! I want one with Ron Paul on it if it fits over the "Trail Rated" emblem on the drivers side. Done deal if you are making them to fit. I believe that emblem is on all jeeps so the jeep market might help with some sales.

So, does it fit?

Hopefully the image will appear:

What say you?

I betcha gold plated would sell too.

Yup, that emblem is on all jeeps. Now I guess the question is are they made in the usa?

I would absolutely ship to San Francisco, and if it's the same cost, I will ship to an APO. If there are any problems, feel confident I will return your money to you. I'm confident it shouldn't be a problem. Stick one of them on an Army Jeep and send me a picture!!!!! :D

Hey Tudo,

In order to produce different models and styles, I have to invest in a mold for each design. The molds are expensive, my resources are limited, and I have to guess which designs will actually be in demand and will sell. I don't want to sit on a bunch of inventory of badges I can't sell. Trying to make a cap to go over your existing emblem, while possible, would put me in an even narrower and more niche market than I'm already in. Unfortunately, that is not something I would be able to do. I will have several other designs as soon as I can get this start-up running smoothly, but at this point, all that is available is the Chrome LOVE Revolution Car Emblems as described in the OP. Thanks for your interest though!

I remember reading your first post about this on the DP, it's awesome to see that the pre-sale was successful and you're ready to have them made.

I'm pretty sure they will not damage the paint, but obviously I can't say 100%!

How do they go on? Do they damage paint if you want it off?

Automotive grade, SEMI-Permanent adhesive foam tape. The tape is die-cut shaped to fit the back of the emblem. It's my understanding that they can be removed without damaging the paint, hence the "SEMI-Permanent" that the vendor described to me.

These are especially made for vehicles, so I don't think this will be a problem. I will specifically ask the vendor tomorrow to clarify.

Thanks for the question.
