Fleetwood Mac singer Christine McVie died on Wednesday at age 79 following a “short illness.” The British singer-songwriter died peacefully at a hospital surrounded by her family.

“On behalf of Christine McVie’s family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine’s death. She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness,” read a statement posted to McVie’s Instagram account.

I've been listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac and the members solo stuff for the last year. Eerie........because I just listened to the Christine McVie Solo song "Got a hold on me". [MENTION=28167]Occam's Banana[/MENTION] posted the night before she died.

Had tickets to see Lindsey Buckingham in mid November but he was ill and cancelled. Just shows that these old artists are indeed not going to be around much longer. Was really hoping for a good reunion of the band. The closest we got was the Buckingham McVie (and band minus Stevie Nicks) album from a few years back that was really solid.

This is one of her best FM singles.
