"Christians Who Support Donald Trump are Voting for Tyranny," Says Blogger Matt Walsh

His Brain Bleeds Bible...

Trump is probably the best Christian, because he has more Bibles than anyone else. It's his favorite book, he likes it much more than Art of the Deal. People send him Bibles, he can't throw them away. Sometimes he gives them away, but most of them he keeps in a very special place in Manhattan.

Yes, and Trump knows so much about the Bible that there are too many verses that come to his mind when trying to pick his favorite one.

I think this election cycle is one of the biggest catch 22s I have seen in my life. I need to stop caring so much about politics I am sure I might be better off.

As much as I know faith informs worldview, and as much as I would like a President whose faith and values agree with mine, there is no religious test in the Constitution. None. We are not voting for a chaplain. We are voting for a President.

Once I get past Rand, there isn't much of a selection, but voting for whoever the Dems have up there would be worse. I know they do not agree with my values or the Constitution, so there you go.

Not so sure about that. I think it's Rand or a demoncrat. If a demoncrat wins at least the so-called "conservatives" can bitch about what the demoncrats are doing and try to fight them off. If a rino gets in the "conservatives" go to sleep and we get royally screwed by all the Washington goons. I want Rand or I want the most liberal commie demoncrat those goons can find...

All one has to do in order to understand why American Evangelicals would like and support Trump is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, with a particular emphasis on verse 11. As an old school Reformed Presbyterian, my position is that this particular chapter is dealing with the issue of false prophets, particularly the Papacy, but not limited to it. Heresy bring delusion, and the delusion is the consequence of God's condemnation of wicked people.

American Evangelicals are, generally speaking, idolaters and have been made stupid by their idols, namely their worship of American Patriotism and the atheistic nation-state of Israel.

Any "Christian" who supports Trump is not a Christian. Trump is an antichrist, and for anyone who claims Christ to support an antichrist requires that they be under the delusion sent by God. Anybody who is under the delusion sent by God is not a Christian. Therefore, any "Christian" who supports Trump is not a Christian.

No joke, this is my go-to verse when discussing people who support Trump.

I could not vote for Bernie or Hillary. Just could not do it.

You using this as an example is incredibly sad and pathetic.

If you don't understand why that video is so effective, then you don't understand politics. Politics is about identity. Obama signals his contempt and hatred for Christians all the time. His supporters pick up on that and so do Christians. The Republicans for the most part sits back and takes it. If one of their own is attacked by the media, they fold and either kick the person out of the party or demand they apologize for their beliefs. Trump is signaling that he's not going to be like that. He's not saying that he's going to make you say "Merry Christmas". He's saying that he's going to say Merry Christmas, and he doesn't care what the media, or Hollywood, or Academia, or any of the other Christian-hating organizations say about it. That is a powerful message.

100% bingo. It would mean more coming from Rand instead of Trump but you've nailed the frustrations that have caused people to rally around Trump.

I totally agree with this. Trump isn't winning because he has the greatest platform. He is winning because people are identifying with this message. Trump is a perfect example why candidates should not give one rip about what the media msm establishment thinks about them. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Present values that get the base excited and don't be ashamed about it. If the media gets upset with you, tell them to go jump off a cliff. If only Rand didn't have advisers telling him to be polite and soft with his message. As a logical and reasonable individual, I found Rand to be completely underwhelming. I almost wish Ron's 2008 run could have been transplanted into 2016. Ron was an exciting and principled candidate to vote for. Rand, not so much. Of course Rand is the best in the field based on ideas, unfortunately, platforms DO NOT win campaigns.

That's not what he's saying. It's not a powerful message. The video isn't effective. You are just a mindless shill.

Here's a challenge for you. Talk to real Christians who go to church every week. I don't care what denomination you pick. And ask them about how political correctness threatens Christianity. You won't hear squat about people saying Merry Christmas. You'll hear about issues like the gay agenda, feminism, the celebration of immorality, the erosion of yesteryear's societal mores, and cultural equivalency. But Trump won't touch any of those issues. He supports the politically correct side in all of them. And he does so in spades. He always has.

Making fun of physically handicapped people and other races and pretending to be fighting for the pro-Christmas side in a war on Christmas is not the kind of political incorrectness that Christians see as a powerful message.

That special place Donald Trump keeps all those Bibles of his is the bathroom so he can wipe his butt with them.

Number 2 corinthians

I'm not sure he realizes what he is admitting to here:
Washington (CNN)Donald Trump says it's Tony Perkins' fault he said "two Corinthians" instead of "Second Corinthians" during a speech at Liberty University this week -- a mistake that raised questions about his biblical knowledge as he courts evangelical voters.

The Republican presidential front-runner said in an interview with CNN's Don Lemon Wednesday that Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, had given him notes on what to say when he visited the evangelical university in Lynchburg, Virginia.

"Tony Perkins wrote that out for me -- he actually wrote out 2, he wrote out the number 2 Corinthians," Trump said. "I took exactly what Tony said, and I said, 'Well Tony has to know better than anybody.' "

Trump's pronunciation of the Bible verse drew laughter from the Christian audience -- but he downplayed it, saying his Scottish mother would have said "two Corinthians," as well.
