Chris Matthews: "I would like to do a whole hour with Ron Paul"

Yes or No?

Should we all call the campaign and urge Ron Paul to take both interviews?

Why would he pass on 2 hrs worth TV time with millions of viewers?!

He can take on anyone in any debate format greater than a 30 sec. blurb!

I say YES!

I think we should. This is big publicity!

To not accept an invitation for a full hour on a mainstream media show would be foolish, I think. Ron is smart enough to battle through the deviousness the mainstream media has tried to pull off in the past. I can only see more mainstream attention like that as a positive thing. For them to even want Ron Paul on means we're gaining popularity. It means Ron has too much support to be ignored.

Also, to be attacked on a show definitely shows that we're gaining popularity and support. You don't attack someone who has no support, because you only bring credibility to their cause. Just by the mainstream media doing negative stories about us shows that we've become a force that they must speak out on. Let's keep spreading the message, we have a lot more ground to cover.

I would like to hear Ron Paul discuss environmental issues more. It bothers me that he supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and off-shore drilling (which seems like a special interests concession - sorry!) This last issue has seriously injured the Amazon Basin, and that affects our climate more than anything. Right, we can't "control the weather" but we can halt the Bush administration 's attack on everything precious in this world.

The revised Clean Water Act of 2002 is an example of this ruthless Republican House, which Ron Paul was part of to an extant, and their environmental contempt. Ron Paul supports "clean coal." What does he think of strip-mining which is tantamount to the bill I just mentioned?

We really need to discuss the pros and cons of this a a lot more . I know very little about the issue but I know that there seems to be two extreme positions to the issue and no dialogue that informs the public.

he can start with this LOL

Nice chart, but there are several eruptions that should've caused temperature drops but didn't seem to, if what happened after Pinatubo is any indication.

Chris Mathews

This is a big deal

Isn't he the one who simply never mentioned Ron?

This is true, Chris Giuliani-Mathews just ignored Ron Paul so far and never mentioned his name. I think he just realized that Rudolpho Giuliani's campaign won't survive all the scandals that emerged last week and now he's just saving his face and the ratings of his show.

I wonder when he will mention Ron Paul for the first time in his stupid PowerRankings.

Cmon campaign get him on both Beck and Mathews!!!!! This is so important!!!!!

"The democrats don't want to bring up the war because they're afraid it's going to get better and the Republicans don't want to bring up the war because they think it's going it's get worse"

QFT

It's clear the media doesn't want to hear or talk about the war either.
The people want to talk about it though.

My concern is Ron Paul's position on the Environment and Global Warming. He never addresses any of this stuff (actually did one time at a rally and said he wasn't as familiar with Global Warming ... which scares me to death) and I'm worried if they start pounding him with this stuff, he may look weak in this regard.

If he wants to make it to the General Election, he's going to definitely need to brush up pretty quickly.
