Actually, there were suicide bomber near the stadium (not inside) who blew themselves up, while the match was going on. According to my german newspaper's homepage they caused 4 deaths - but 3 of them were the suicide bombers themselves... pretty noobish attack says my cynical mind. The soccer match (France vs Germany friendly match) was never paused or called off btw, even though the explosions were too be heard... good decision imo, so no panic broke out.

Over 90% of the death toll are the victims in the concert hall, then some 5 and 15 in 2 different street shootings.

It means it doesn't count for anything official, such as qualification for the World Cup or European Championships. It's just a match for practice and to get ticket money.

As a medical doctor, we are trained and have the moral obligation to not only treat the symptoms but to identify and treat the root cause or even prevent it, that is why I believe our first step in dealing with ISIS is that we should no longer fund and arm them. Not one more dollar and not one more American humvee in the hands of terrorists that burn our flag and kill our soldiers.

Rand has all of the correct points, just a little re-packaging could really help drive the points home. But I get it, on the debate stage its fight or flight and one could miss a lot of great talking points because of the amount of nerves it takes to hit head on.

Paris Bataclan Theater Received Threats Over Pro-Israel Events Before the Attacks

(JTA) - Before Friday’s bloodbath at Paris’s Le Bataclan concert venue, this centrally-located hall from the 19th century had received numerous threats over pro-Israel events hosted there.

In 2006-2009 at leat, Le Bataclan hosted the annual fundraising gala of the French Jewish Migdal nonprofit group for the Israeli Border Police. Last month, it hosted a gathering of some 500 Zionist Christians who came there in support of the Jewish state.

In one case involving threats against Le Bataclan, a group of approximately 10 men wearing Arab keffiyehs over their faces arrived in December 2008 at the theater, demanding to speak to management.

“This is something we cannot continue to accept,” one of the men from the group was filmed telling the security guards outside Le Bataclan. “You will pay the consequences of your actions,” the same person, his voice electronically distorted, told the camera after the confrontation, which ended peacefully. “We came here to pass along a small message. Be warned. Next time we won’t be coming here to talk.”

The massacre at Le Bataclan Friday, during a rock concert by The Eagles of Death Metal band from the United States, was by far the deadliest of the six simultaneous attacks which French security forces said were perpetrated by at least eight terrorists. According to a tally released by French authorities on Saturday, 127 people died and some 180 were wounded.

In theory he was actually prosecuting terrorists as opposed to legislating re terrorism. I don't recall crispy prosecuting any terrorists, though.
