When the US economy collapses, will not CHina, who is paying our debt, want what is hers???

Will she not have legal right to invade America and take what belongs to her???

As I type, there are chinese gathering at the mexican border. They are all over NW canada. They are moving in on the carribean.

It won't be hard for a china/russian join venture to topple us.

I beleive this is the future. An economic collapse must first come with a revolution, then they will attack us when we are at our weakest...... make your escape route sure, or honker down and find a cave.

WOOOOOLVERIIIIIINES!!!!! ;)

They'll just start buying up anything they can with dollars. ie American companies. Scrap metal. Whatever. Do you see those signs wanting to buy junk cars for $100? They're all going to China.

But any foreign company or country holding lots of dollars will start to do the same. And America is on sale. BOLO.

I for one welcome our new Chinese masters.

They can't be anything but an improvement.

Don't be so sure. We have fallen far, but we still aren't as oppressive as China.

comparing the prison system to a communist government...yeah, not good.

In China, there's been people killed by the government because particular individuals were Christians...and I'm sure there's more than just that...sure, they have economically free zones, but that's not the entire country; at the end of the day, they're still a Communistic dictatorship.

I'm with Tmosley--don't be so sure; foreigners hate this country, and if ever they want our stuff (and we refuse)--well, do you understand the implications?

I couldn't care less if Donald Trump or Hu Jintao sign my paycheck. Our glorious free democracy already taps everyone's phones, data mines our email, and imprisons pot smokers. WTF difference does it make?

China would never invade the US - that would be suicide for any invading force even in the absence of nuclear weapons and hundreds of thousands of US troops - and everyone knows it.

Look what China is doing in Africa - moving in people and companies to secure, through economic cooperation and assistance, the resources they need to fuel their industrial complex. And where are they going to sell all these goods? To the greatest consumer society the world has ever known - the US. It is in their best interest to keep the market place vibrant and alive and consuming their products. Maybe we as a market can be replaced some day, but the Chinese will suffer through some rough times in the process.

Ironically, China's economy has been moving more towards the free market while America's is moving in the opposite direction.

Talk about calling the kettle black.

Whew!

Apparently Japan was buying up all of our scrap previous to WWII. At least China seems to be putting most of ours into skyscrapers at home and cheap bobbles to send back here for us to buy. (I hope)

I'll agree that there is less difference everyday. However, the final difference can be seen in the very avatar that you're using right now. Let's hope that we never reach that point.

China understands FRN's are only legal tender for federal government assets.

If they come to seize property, it won't be yours and mine they're after, it will be D.C's.

With every evolution, comes revolution.

China does not have an evolved infrastructure.

They will stumble. Soon.
