(Reuters) - China's retaliation on Friday against new U.S. tariffs is poised to accelerate Beijing's move towards alternative suppliers for agriculture goods including Brazil, a shift that began during the trade war of President Donald Trump's first term.

Beijing unveiled a slew of countermeasures, including additional duties of 34% on all U.S. goods, which are on top of the 10-15% tariffs placed on roughly $21 billion worth of agricultural trade in early March.

More here:

Pathetic, China can't afford the increased costs and can't increase it's own food production.

We will manage just fine, and maybe our farms will produce more food for Americans and bring down costs.

Not to mention that we will just sell to whoever Brazil was selling to before, there aren't many breadbasket countries in the world and we are one of them.

Trump plans to bailout the Big Ag corporations with cash. "to farmers".
Just like he did the last time he was in office.

They took the money and none of his tariffs stuck. The paradigm did not change at all.

He says he wants US exports up then does what harms US exports

and makes the goverment bail out his destructive policy.

what a loser.

Things went well last time, they are already going even better this time.
Trump isn't the loser.
