I'm not sure what the Chicago police /swat etc. carry. I'd find it humorous (yet not surprising) if any of their guns are on the list.

It would be nice if they justified their rationale. There might be a very good reason to avoid a gun on the list. That's information that could be useful.

There is a Walther and Sig on there too, supposedly because they allow easy attachment of suppressor; probably factory threaded barrel.

no, its not every gun maker.

while its wrong of them do deny any guns to be registered (they shouldnt even have to be registered), i don't see a lot of major brands on there:
-glock
-sig (they said mosquito only)
-S&W (only spur trigger models
-Ruger
-springfield
-Kimber
-Walter (P22)
-Beretta

although its complete BS these restrictions, its still a tremendous improvement over no guns at all

probably 99% of police agencies use Sigs, Berettas, SWs, Kimber/Springfields, or Glcoks, so, no, the chance of a Chicago cop having a duty arm on that list is unlikely.
