Check out this bad boy, AA-12

Thanks for posting that. Very impressive!

Unfortunately, it'll never be available to the public. Police/Military special ops units are probably the only ones who'll be able to obtain it.

I'd also be interested in seeing a critical review of it, rather than a promotional video.

The Benelli M2 Tactical (with ComforTech stock) isn't as impressive, but it's very likely the best defensive shotgun that's legally available to the public, and the price isn't exorbitant. The action and ComforTech stock greatly reduce the felt recoil and barrel rise inherent in 12-guage shotguns.

This isn't a professional promotional video, but it will give you an idea of how fast an average joe can fire it, while maintaining excellent control of the weapon:

Man I have known about that gun for a while and I dont even pay attention to guns that much. They have been playing around with that weapon on that Stargate SG1 show for years.

That shotgun is really incredible. The only draw back that I see is the amount of rounds that could be carried. In heavy combat you are going to go through 32 rounds pretty quick. How many of those clips could you actually carry?

Are there really so many "bad guys" (defintion pending ;)) these days that the military needs something like the AA-12?!

I mean damn.... Who the hell are they intending to fight with that shit?

The terrorists must have advanced weapons technology labs in their caves, huh?

another drawback is that the police and military can have them but i can't :-(

I'm against the heavy logistic spending on National Defense that we have today... But, I'm all for heavy research spending. :D

This weapon looks Uber effective for urban combat.

That's funny how the government wants to take away out politically incorrect rifles because "they are only intended to kill people" yet there they go building something that is obviously designed for that purpose alone.

Of course my guns are not for killing people.

But I must admit that people who take life, liberty, and property to not so much as appear human to me.

The only problem with auto-shotguns is many have a tendency to jam. I don't know how the AA-12 is in that regard, but before I took something like that into the field as my primary weapon, it'd better be as dependable as my hunting dog.

The vid said 200 yards out. I call BS. It is impressive, but when they start talking about "urban warfare," it makes me cringe. All I can picture are American cities.

Yeah, the 200 yards got me wondering to.
What kind of load could be lethal from a shotgun at that distance? The guy did imply that it was devastating at that range but I did not see them fire at a target from that distance to prove it.
Just the same, that thing would be tough to beat on the street. Or the jungle. Or the dessert. Or the Arctic. Or the hallway.
lol.
