Glad to see alot of people welcome this idea and some that have already taken the liberty to do this. I really like the wireless router in your car. I'll be doing that also today thanks for that idea, I bought a plugin last year when I went to see the space shuttle launch. Now I have a use for it. Let everyone you know change their router names.

Why is it a dumb idea for people the "chain" their wireless networks together? If everyone did it, what would be the need for the central authority of the ISP?

while you're at it add "nomap" to the end of the name so google doesn't sniff all your data...

Personally I'm totally against this. It should be an opt-in with _map rather then an optout with _nomap . More people need to take a stance with this so google will rethink their plans.
