The reply I received:

Hello,

We wanted to send you a note about an idea you recently submitted on in the Ideas for Change in America competition titled "Abolish The Federal Reserve System."

We welcome you to directly petition the Obama Administration about this matter, which you can do at http://change.gov/page/s/ofthepeople. However, this unfortunately lies outside the scope of the Ideas for Change in America project, which is focused on identifying solutions that we believe can, through a grassroots lobbying effort, receive serious consideration from the Obama administration and/or Congress. Regardless of its merits, it is our judgment that this idea will not be seriously considered by the administration or 111th Congress regardless of the intensity of our lobbying effort, and it is therefore not eligible to enter the second round of the competition.

We understand that good people may disagree on matters of judgment. But this is a private effort not connected to the Obama campaign or transition team, and we reserve the right to make such judgments to keep the competition and its content aligned with the stated mission and overall spirit of the project.

Thank you for your understanding. As mentioned above, we welcome you to directly petition the Obama administration about your proposal at http://change.gov/page/s/ofthepeople. And we hope you continue your work to advance change.

Best,

- The Ideas for Change in America Team

I sent in my end the fed suggestion. As if it will do any good.

Here is the letter I sent :)
---------------------------

Dear President-Elect Barack Obama,

I must first congratulate you on your presidential victory. I am
writing to you today because I am a deeply concerned citizen on
the issue of monetary policy, an issue which you have virtually
ignored during your campaign, and an issue which I believe is one
of the most important facing this nation.

I am referring of course to the Federal Reserve System. Why do we
have it? Do we actually need it? Does it benefit America at all?

Allow me to outline my understanding of how the Federal Reserve System
works, and perhaps you will then agree it is not serving America
as it was initially intended to do.

When the US government needs money, for whatever purpose, it has
basically 3 options. It can 1) get money from taxes, 2) borrow
money from abroad, or 3) print money. It is issue 3) which I would
like to discuss with you.

When the US government wants to print money, it does not actually
print the money itself. Instead the US treasury department calls up
the Federal Reserve and asks for money, lets say $1 bln. The Fed
says "sure" and hits some keystrokes and *poof*, out of thin air
$1 bln appears in the US treasury bank account. This $1 bln is not
free for the treasury however, and the Fed expects to one day be
repaid its $1 bln plus interest. For the purposes of this letter,
lets just ignore the issue of the fractional banking system, in which
the people who borrow that money from the treasury will deposit it
in a bank which then lends out up to 9 times as much to other borrowers,
and essentially charging interest on $9 bln which didn't even exist the
day before.

Instead lets simply focus on the inflationary effects of that newly
created $1 bln. It is my position that the purpose of the Federal Reserve
System, is to create inflation. Each time it prints new money into the
economy, there is inflation. Inflation is of course, a tax. It is a tax
that the American people pay without even knowing they are paying it.
If an American has savings of $1000 in the bank, he may be able to buy
a nice suit, a pair of shoes and hat with that money. If the Fed then
pumps in billions of new money into the economy, that money will soon
trickle through devaluing all the other money in the economy. So that
American with savings of $1000 may find that soon he can only buy
half a suit with that same money.

He has been robbed of purchasing power, essentially paying a tax which
he most likely has no knowledge of. The inflation tax is, in my opinion,
the biggest tax in the country. Since 1913, when the Federal Reserve
was created, the value of the dollar has decreased by over 90%. This
means an American who had a purchasing power of $1000 1913 dollars, only
has a purchasing power today of $100.

Please Mr. Obama, please acknowledge the true purpose of
the Federal Reserve - to take wealth from ordinary Americans and give
it to the powerful. Please work hard during your presidency to abolish
the Federal Reserve, and return to a gold and silver backed currency.
Please use your power to appoint the Fed's board of directors and wipe out
all the central bankers they want you to appoint, and instead appoint
people with the true interests of Americans at heart. People like
Ron Paul, Peter Schiff, and other Austrian economists.

Please work with Ron Paul to abolish the Federal Reserve.
I truly think you could benefit tremendously from offering Dr. Paul
a position in your cabinet. A position solely devoted to ending the
reign of the Federal Reserve System. It will not be easy. But think
of your legacy if you are successful. The first president since 1913
to stand up to the Federal Reserve. The first country in decades
to shake off a fiat currency and return to a gold/silver backed currency.
The man who led America to be the only country in the world with an
honest, sound money system with no inflation.

The pressure on you from the central bankers will be tremendous, but
I urge you to remember who you truly represent, the American people.

Sincerely,

Your great letter will get lost in the sea of other letters pleading for Obama to give them free stuff.

Change.org Censoring ALL Ideas Related to Ending the Federal Reserve

Gutless fucktards. Sadly not really surprising. I've started to spam HuffingtonPost about ending The Federal Reserve to try and wake some of the sheeple up. Not sure yet if my posts will get moderated.
