I think CFL needs to do 1 of 2 things.

1) Either endorse a single pres. candidate and to give focus to the entire movement. We need to get behind a single candidate in unison.

2) Or organize a presidential debate and have it televised. CSPAN would likely televise it. Invite all the candidates, we know which 2 would probably pass. Ask some serious questions and have a discussion about it. Allow people to assign a score to each candidate, possibly on a question by question basis.

Doing #2 before #1 would probably the best order to do it in. We took our queues from Ron Paul and he should lead in this matter.

Wouldn't that be awesome and what this movement and country needs right now? Some honesty and serious discussion of the issues on national TV. What do you think?

How is the CFL organized legally? Depending on its IRS status, eg, 501c3 status, it might be prohibited from partisan political endorsements.

This is a great idea.
The C4L should organize a nonpartisan "Liberty Debate". No endorsement should be made.
All candidates should be invited, including John McCain, Barack Obama, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney and any others that I may have left out.
I presume mcbama won't show, so two empty podiums should remain with their names on them.

All questions should be liberty oriented - preserving our civil liberties, privacy rights, economic rights, etc. Each candidate should be given equal time, and all questions should be about the issues only.

If C-Span would be willing to cover it, it is definitely worth it.
