Celtic sea salt anyone?

I've used it, but I have wondered what the actual difference is between sea salt and normal salt....can anyone help me out here?

I have had the suspicion that "health food"/hip restaraunts place it on the table as a trendy sort of thing; though I could (and probably am) entirely wrong.

Basically, it's unrefined salt that contains trace minerals. Has a distinct flavor. A little goes a long way.

The salt that heals versus the salt that kills.

There is also Himalayan rock salt.

Dead Sea salt is interesting too, but I understand it best to bathe in it rather than eat it.
