Celebrate! Tonight we earned our seat at the table.

This forum needs more posts like Will's. Here is someone with real heart and insight.

Great post, Will. This is just the first volley in the conflict. To whine or run now is just plain silly. Regardless of interesting voting techniques employed, 10% is nothing to ignore. We have Wyoming up next. We need to keep moving and tend to the next job, not obsess about what could have been.

Don't get all giddy over 10 percent. The support was strong, but obviously we are not doing enough.

Please do more, please put yourself in front of a group of old folks down at the local senior center/nursing home, ok? Please know the entire platform and have slim jims and a means of taking these people to the precinct elections this spring. You can pat yourself on the back for a shitty 10 percent in Iowa if that makes you feel good, but doing something like I just suggested is better, is it not?

sadly it doesnt work that way.

we still came in dead last.

guliani didn't even work here and we couldn't get those 3,000 people of his.

we'd have to get first or second in NH to continue I think.........and I have serious doubts that our organization and campaign is up the challenge of a big race like this.

The big thing tonight is that we all look like internet hype.

Celebrate! Tonight we earned our seat at the table. We have shown America that we have a real contender for President of The United States.

Look where we were just 90 days ago. Even a few weeks ago they attempted to dismiss us as 1% virtually non –existent fringe crowd. Now tonight we just defeated the “supposed national front runner" Giuliani in a tough neo-con state!

Yes, we set high expectations for tonight. We are supposed to. We are supposed to pump up our guys on the ground in Iowa. You don’t send your team in and tell them you expect them not to win. Iowa will prove to have been our toughest state.

In Iowa, we primarily relied upon grass roots volunteers who have been walking the streets for a few weeks. Our guys in Iowa did awesome. These guys are amazing and are true Patriots.

Our commercials and campaign really began only weeks ago. So where we ended up tonight proves we are getting the message out.

We will prevail in the next round. It only gets better from here. We have good money, we’ve already got lots of momentum and some real leaders in the next states, especially New Hampshire, Florida and South Carolina. We will do even better in these states.

Ron Paul’s message is a fundamental message of liberty and freedom. It is fundamental to what all Americans believe. We were all taught this in grade school. Our challenge is to tell America about the real Ron Paul, not the view the media attempts to paint. Our numbers are growing. As they grow people become excited and we will continue to gain momentum.

We can win. It is up to us. Keep in mind, very few teams win the World Series, Stanley Cup or Super Bowl without having a loss during the season. We must learn from this, never take anything for granted, press in and give it all you have for the next month.

The money raised in the 3rd and 4th quarters will have results in the next series of states. Shake the dust off. Get a good night rest for tomorrow it’s time for battle! Persevere and victory will be ours!

This is how Reagan started out.

Even in the AOL poll with over 270,000 votes, Huckster had Iowa on lockdown. Go back and revisit the rest of the map. We will win this!

We did better than all polls showed. People acting like its over is absurd. Iowa was not Ron Paul target audience. We will need to gather more supporters, but we still have time and if anything IOWA went fine, we were close to everyone but Romney and Huckabee. If anything Thompson and Mccain should be saying how did we barely beat Paul?

"we’ve already got lots of momentum and some real leaders in the next states, especially New Hampshire, Florida and South Carolina. "

And one of those leaders is Will. If anyone wants a crash course on how to phone bank and make banners, please talk to the Jacksonville, FL Meetup Group.

Will, Terry, John, and many others have done more for Ron Paul than almost anyone else I can think of.

When Ron Paul wins Florida, it will be because of leaders like him.

We have done well in IA. But I wonder what will happen after we win NH and the gloves really come off. They will attack and attack and attack.

If you can't see the fear from the neocon GOP, you aren't stirring up the pot enough :-)

The fun we are having!
