I'm not from the area, so don't know who they support. Someone with the same name as one of them donated to Ron Paul this year. Anyone with more knowledge of that area of MN?

I heard the vote for the delegates was scheduled to occur yesterday, haven't heard anymore than that though.

MN CD7 elects 2 National Delegates who are supporting Santorum and 1 who is supporting Ron Paul. CD 3,5 & 6 up April 14th. #mngop #stribpol

That's good news. I compared the map of CD7 to the Google county-by-county results. Basically CD7 is the western half of Minnesota. Santorum owned it, getting an absolute majority almost everywhere and above 60% in a lot of counties. One delegate of three is fine, and that's three more that Romney got none of.

Indeed, awesome news. Now I'll go look for a timely and accurate reporting of this development in the MSM! :)

We were only 3-4 votes short of winning all of the delegate seats. It turns out that showing up really matters.

That's a reliable source. Good work CD7, 1 of 3 delegates. That's one of the toughest areas in the state. 2 weeks until the next chance to get national delegates in MN.

I echo what others have said. The fact that we got a delegate in this CD is big. There has been some redistricting since the caucus so the numbers aren't going to be 100% accurate but they are close...here is how each candidate fared in the CD's on caucus night.

Sant Paul Romney Gingrich
1 49% 26% 15% 11%
2 43% 27% 19% 11%
3 40% 25% 25% 11%
4 36% 34% 20% 10%
5 32% 39% 19% 9%
6 46% 30% 13% 11%
7 55% 22% 11% 12%
8 54% 22% 13% 12%

CD7 was our worst district and Santorum's best and he still couldn't get a clean sweep of delegates.
