CBP: "It's not a crime to carry over $10K, we just want to know about it."

"Unreported"?

WTH does that even mean?

Next up:

"Suspect arrested while taking an unreported drive."

Has anybody tried using a Geiger counter to measure radioactivity from USDs, especially Benjamins? We know there are undocumented security features in these bills (BEP has publicly said so). Could radioactive fingerprinting be one of those undocumented features? Could that explain these miraculous, windfall forfeitures from innocent civilians that the government just keeps "accidentally" having?

I'll carry as much cash on hand as I want to. It's not like politicians aren't doing the same thing.

Like it or not the law is you have to report any currency above 10k USD when leaving or entering the US. If you fill out the form they just let you go about your business. I don't really like it but it's not a major inconvenience.

DC Thieves: "We know we are all a bunch of thieving bastards. So we better make sure that none of us can carry more than $10k cash over the border without reporting it."

Also DC Thieves: "Let's make all law-abiding citizens have to report carrying more than $10k cash over the border. You know, just in case."
