I don't think Rand has been on Cavuto in a couple of years. He goes on every other Fox show except Cavuto and O'Reilly. Cavuto went from someone who fair to being really snarky toward Rand with other guests.

I think Rand just needs to qualify his statement more by pointing out its more about cutting waste and won't necessarily impact capabilities or personnel.

There are tons of opportunities to cut spending in the military and at the same time grow the military.

This is because Rubio and Cruz are the targeted people to pump up. Rubio is their establishment pick. Cruz is their primary source to syphon Rand's support and dilute his message. All of the fake "libertarian" outlets like Glenn Beck all support Cruz because he is a Pied Piper. He's the one saying what some libertarians want to hear, but wouldn't actually go through with it, that's why these outlets are choosing Cruz over Rand. They don't want real change, they are just intentionally steering the support in the wrong direction.

The good thing about Rubio is that he's an utter jackass. He'll do something strikingly stupid soon enough, and it will cost him dearly.

Cruz will not, though. Cruz will be in this as long as he wants to be in this. I'm not sure what we can do about him. He's entirely unelectable, but I feel as though the base my go for him in primaries and caucuses. I just hope he struggles with GOTV aspects of politics.

First of all, he is not a neocon. Second of all, he may be an interventionist. When has he claimed to be a non-interventionist? What is fake about him? Doesn't he actually just have a different foreign policy position than us?

If we think that he just spouting our rhetoric while actually harboring secret, nefarious, plans, we'll get no where. Eventually Rand will challenge him on the issues in which we differ, and Rand will win because that is what Rand does.
