Honestly, I think the whole thing with this "cross" is completely overblown and ridiculous. I am about as anti-pushing-your-view-on-others-especially-religion as they get, and pick up subtle things pretty well and even I didn't think it was a "subliminal cross message". It was a freaking bookshelf with stuff on it, get over it.
