I saw Ron at a local rally in SC during the 2012 campaign. Of course Ron was mobbed on his way out toward the car and his window was surrounded after he got in the back of the SUV. I was not going to get close enough to him to ask him to sign a slim-jim for a friend of mine that couldn't attend. So I thought outside the box and walked around to the other side of the SUV where no one else was. The window was open and who was sitting there next to Ron? Carol! We chatted for a couple moments and I asked her to sign my slim-jim. She signed it and then lightly elbowed Ron (he dropped everything he was doing when she did that) and handed him the slim-jim, which he dutifully signed and handed back to her. So my friend got a slim-jim signed by both of them and I realized that Carol wears the pants in the family
