Please explain how this works and why robocalls aren't used for the entire process? I mean, if someone is going to respond to a robopoll for voter identification, why would that same person not respond to a robocall reminder to vote? Or is the live volunteer being used for something other than reminding someone to vote?

Because we need to answer people's questions. Most people don't know anything about a caucus. We need to help them get all the information. Most people would turn off any long 'robo' messages. I certainly do. So live volunteers are important to getting everyone the message across.

If we fully finished the grassroots list and matched that with calls from the Official list that would be stellar.

I would love to make more calls (I've already made about 3000), but my Skype subscription expired and I don't want to pay for monthly service plus an online number.

Has anyone had any success with Google Voice or any cheap or free options? I really want to do this again, but I need help!

GV won't work for official call from home but will for the third-party effort. Pretty simple to use, just download the plugin and start dialing.

Thanks, Libertyin08. I actually just saw in another thread a way to use Skype that won't require me to buy a $25 online number - I'll just get the $3 month-long subscription and set up the caller ID feature.

I think we should shutdown the forum and have a big notice saying for 2 hours we are all going to PFH. People do not seem to want to put the effort to do something so simple.

I think organization or a way to organize and communicate is just as important as PFH. don't shut the forum down, just put a big sign on the top. as the biggest RP forum community online that will for sure cripple our ability to communicate with each other on such an important day.

I had good response rates with rp08orbust's numbers yesterday. Several people needed to register, who I'll follow up with today to see if they're done. (They can register online and print out the confirmation page.)

A few people were out of state, but said they're big Ron Paul supporters and will pass the message on to relatives/friends still in Washington.

It's just finding Paul supporters and making sure they know when/how to vote. Really simple and no need to convince anyone of anything.
