Maybe...but it seems like Rand winning is a prerequisite for consideration otherwise people could decide that Paul's are bad for GOP.

Doesn't this mean that Kentucky is more important than some of the other races that people want us to contribute to.

I think Ron will be taken a lot more seriously if Rand wins. They know its his organization working behind the scenes along with the campaign.

Good questions. I agree that a Rand Paul loss in KY would hurt Ron's chances in 2012. The mainstream GOP will work hard to prevent a Ron Paul nomination for presidency regardless of Rand's performance. But a Rand Paul loss would certainly do harm to Ron's chances.

I speak of the Schiff money pitt of course...

But I know that will upset everyone. It would be nice if he'd win, but that race isn't as important.

i think even if Ron loses he will inspire another million people. They are different candidates and should be treated as such. Even though they are family they clearly have different views. Ron is a lot more experienced and round 2 should be much better than the round 1 in 2008.

Almost certainly not. How many of "us" are left for another education campaign to grab, anyway?

If Rand loses Ron is OVER. If rand can't win with a modified libertarian run in a Red state in a republican year it is OVER.

Ya in some ways Ron Paul might have been better off for his presidential run without this kentucky primary being anchored to him.

Then again, Ron Paul 2012' is still a bit of a long shot either way so it might not matter that much.

Ron Paul will not get elected, regardless of the outcome of the Kentucky election.

Now I am not being a debbie downer, I am just being realistic. If Ron Paul runs for president, it may very well grow our movement very nicely, but he has far too much baggage to get elected president, IMO.

Most Americans are either too dumb, too PC, too collectivist, or a combination of those traits, for Ron Paul to win in 2012.

Ron Paul has zero 'baggage', just what media has created, as they did and are doing for Rand.

What he didn't have was sufficient partisan defenders at the time the media first started spreading its slime so it entered the public consciousness. I hope Rand has enough defenders, now.

if rand paul loses in conservative kentucky the liberty movement will be officially dead.

I disagree. The 'liberty movement' does better in the mountain west, north west and with the north east than in the south. Were the Pauls not also undeniably socially conservative as a personal preference, they'd be out of the money in the south, altogether.

If people reject Ron Paul after all these years of horseshit phony two party system, endless big government, endless welfare state and endless warfare state, then America deserves the oligarchy system run by bankers and Military Industrial Complex.
People better wake the fuck up because upcoming dollar crisis is not going to be pretty.
