I agree. Once McCain loses and the Dems take more seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives, I believe there will be massive finger pointing among the neocons and inner fighting within their circle which will further weaken their grip on the party and make it easier for Ron Paul Republicans to take over.

I agree with your premise but disagree that RP will cause McCain to be defeated. I am a long time republican voter and I am not voting for McCain because I don't like him or his policies not because I just want to see republicans lose.
People running around bragging that RP and his followers are doing this just to make republicans lose are hurting our future cause to get disinchanted republicans after the elections to switch to us. They will remember only that we did it to help the democrats which is not why I am here.

I echo others sentiment. He never had a chance in the first place. It would be like expecting a runner to win a marathon while carrying a 5 ton cannon ball....the Bush admin is McCain's 5 ton elephant because he supported them.

If McCain gets the nomination, the democrats will win by landslide. That is a guarantee. No matter how many ovtes Ron Paul takes from McCain.
And I wouldn't allow the sleazy lying GOP get away with even mentioning any other reasons for McCains defeat. Because we all know, the McCain is just another 4 years of George Bush. Some failed foreign and economic policies that have created this beast.

Nah - if they go anywhere, it'll be back to the Democratic party - where they're a much closer fit anyway. They're comfortable with the Republican party right now because so many people aren't paying attention. Hopefully Ron's book can help change that.
