Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Releases Newest Ad

Highlights Paul’s military service and unrivaled commitment to veterans

LAKE JACKSON, Texas– Today, the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign released its latest television ad . The 60-second spot entitled ‘A Veteran’s Best Friend’ highlights Paul’s military service and unrivaled commitment to veterans.

“Dr. Paul has a long record in Congress as a strong advocate for veterans and issues important to them, particularly in making sure that they receive recognition for the sacrifices they’ve made in service to our country,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

The ad is the first in what will be a $1 million television push over the next few weeks. It is scheduled to air nationally on the FOX News Channel during debate coverage and run heavily in New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada, and South Carolina on broadcast and cable. At this stage in the primary election cycle few other campaigns have the ability to make an ad push of this scale, putting the Paul campaign in elite company.

Regarding the campaign’s ad push Benton went on to say:

“Our campaign is seeing growing momentum now and is doing this ad blitz to cement ourselves in the top tier. We’ve seen Dr. Paul’s poll numbers steadily increase, with
strong showings in recent New Hampshire and Iowa polls, as well as strong head-to-head showings versus President Obama.”

As a presidential candidate, Congressman Paul has garnered more donations from active-duty military than all of the other Republican presidential candidates combined, and more than President Obama as well. Paul’s consistent adherence to Constitutional principles regarding American foreign policy, and his calls to bring the troops home in order to defend the country as opposed to spending trillions policing and nation-building in foreign lands has gained him wide support among veterans and active military alike.

gangster!!! in a 12 rd fight going all the way to the national convention the campaign is really having a great pace!!! lots of jabs, lots of body shots, some power punches

Great idea for ad. But, it should be more dynamic. More effective. I don't know - for a whole minute ad, it don't say as much as it could. Compare this ad with "Plastic man" one minute ad. I can't avoid feeling that team that made "Plastic man" ad would make much more effective one minute ad about Ron's military service and support he gets both from active duty military and from veterans.

This ad, nor the team america style plastic ad, is not directed at the 20-35 crowd. This is a great ad that I feel my voting grandfather would appreciate. Keep in mind that the voters out there are not all twenty something that love CGI.

this ad is a body shot

todays debate is alot of jabs and some power punches

Great ad. You'll never please everyone with any ad. But I see this one as very effective and what most of us agree is another example of exactly what we want to see from the campaign for our donations, and to show we are in it to win it!

Campaigns often test ads with surveys and focus groups and tweak them for maximum effectiveness so I am willing to bet this one was done the same way.

Ok, I know, but at least they should mention his donations from active duty military compared to other contenders and Obama. You know, hard facts, it the middle of all that sweet talk.

I agree that would be a good addition if it could be worked in.

Agreed. When I drop the "more military donations than any other GOP candidate combined and even Obama" truth bomb on Fox News republicans (the Bill O'Hannity type), they get a "bad command or file name" look on their face. The cognitive dissonance unravel is fun to watch.

Oh and great ad and ad buy
