Campaign not giving lists of volunteers to other volunteers

I have been trying to get the official list of campaign volunteers and/or donors since last fall. The official representative of the RP campaign has been stonewalling since the beginning and I never got the lists. He says the campaign attorneys have told him he cannot share the lists with grassroots volunteers (even though I have been doing PFH from its inception). Has anyone else run into this problem? My friends in Missouri seem to have had no problems getting these lists from the campaign there. If I had had the lists at any point in the past 6 months I could have gotten at least one more RP national delegate and we would control the GOP in our legislative district and likely would have taken over the state party.

I've brought this up among other volunteers here in Arizona and they all seem to be willing to accept the one guy here working for the campaign in Arizona at his word, but I want to know the truth. Is there any way to find out from the campaign whether this guy is being truthful?

Thanks.

Here in South Dakota we have had no help from the campaign, I cant say much but much of the same that you are talking about happening here in SD. Since the RP2012 campaign has almost reached there goal if you want to help a State that the campaign will not be spending any of there efforts in, us here in South Dakota are still continuing grassroots campaigning and have created a website and PAC. I believe we have a decent chance of doing very well in SD and could send the better part of 25 delegates to the RNC. If you would like to help go to www.southdakotaforliberty.com, also visit the post about this on daily paul and help us get this out to everyone, heres the link to the dailypaul, http://www.dailypaul.com/234645/sout...request-part-3

My experience: If you harass the main RP office for long enough, with enough diligence and intelligence, you can get the lists. I did (for my state). Just go to the official site, under Contact, and start calling. Over, and over, and over. Happy luck!

What state are you in.

Considering Newt Gingrich sold his email list, it's likely legal. But some folks would get ticked off. And there's the possibility of it falling into "enemy hands". As the grassroots we need to start building our own lists.

Wasn't Romney 26/29 in Arizona? Didn't we get less than 10% of the popular vote there?

I wasn't there, but it seems like Arizona was a place where we just didn't have the numbers, and your efforts wouldn't have made a drastic change in the final result.

I would not expect the national campaign to give up its list to whoever is asking for it.

Who is or was the state director of Arizona? He might have a good idea of what's up.

I can tell you that Maine was 21/21 in delegates, and it was organized by the official campaign.

Any states that have elections - primaries through conventions - should have an organization whether the official campaign provides it or not.

Build our own lists. Yeah, not that difficult. If you're interested in a state or a region within a state, just join every group, meetup, and gather the facebook url and/or email address of everyone there. Go to one of the many Ron Paul sites, gather the data there. Make notations of where you're getting the info from.

Good. I don't want you with that list.

P.S. What is your social security number and date of birth. :toady:

We built our own lists in Missouri -- We used Facebook, Twitter, Phone Calls, Network Docs, and these very forums ( http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?368234-Missouri-Project-can-you-help&highlight=CJPrinter ) to populate our extensive delegate list.

In Springfield, we've already pre-paid reservations for enough hotel rooms and college dorms (8$ per person!) to house the entire Paul delegation statewide. St Charles coordinators have created a call bank we're using as I type to call through and RSVP these rooms and help with carpooling.

Campaign? Shmampaign.

We'll probably be using the very same lists to push forward local Liberty candidates.

We just pressed for MO Senate to debate and vote on the HB 1637 Missouri Sound Money Act today but sadly it was questioned and opposed to death by Senator Crowley (luckily his term limit is this year) and placed in the graveyard of Informal Calendar.

You can go to: http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/ and go through the campaign donations in your area. It's a little tedious but it will give you the names and address of every Paul donor. We've done that a bit in areas with lots of vacant precinct positions. Good luck. We've been frustrated here in MT with virtually no response to our requests to the campaign.

Is that about copying FEC filings? My understanding is that is illegal. The campaigns are allowed to pepper a list with fake donors.

Campaign finance reports are public documents, including individual donors. Huf. Post, and there's at least one other site I can't remember, just puts them online in a searchable format.

This guy

They're probably concerned if the establishment will try to identify us and such. I'm glad they're not giving it out.

Yeah, in KY they wouldnt give it to us... and we lost every district so far including one that only had 40 people at their convention (and elected 3 ntl delegates etc) I only had one contact in one county in that District, and they turned out several of the 6 Paul delegates we had. Bloody brilliant. One county with good turnout could've won it for us.

I support caution not to give lists to the Establishment. But the people requesting were 2008 organizers and organizers from Rand's campaign in 2010, willing to do all the work for free. Makes no sense.

We did our own phone banks and bought voter lists at our own expense, but not enough... should've spent more time talking to voters and less calling the campaign.

The Mossad were trying to get precinct captain lists in 08. I don't blame the campaign for being cautious. It could subject people to black ops blackmail ala Ross Perot's daughter.
