Official Campaign - this seems like a REALLY easy set of voters to target.

The NRA says that Ron Paul failed to respond to their candidate forum, even with a taped message.

http://www.nravalues.org/

On the eve of the iowa Caucus, the NRA just sent out a message to millions of members - and Ron Paul is the only name missing from the email.

Where is the problem guys?

Old news. A lot of us were up in arms about this a while ago.
Basically the RP campaign has had explosive growth and that has contributed to the campaign dropping the ball a few times in a pretty big way. This was one of them. I posted on the official feedback forum to please hire a top tier political, PR or management consultant to help manage the growth of this campaign. To my knowledge they haven't though.

Anyway everyone screws up sometimes. I know I have screwed up at work before :)

I've screwed up before too - but this is something the campaign needs to get on tomorrow - get a quick video to the NRA and get it posted.

yea libertarian don't like the NRA because they are sell outs or whatever but who cares? Republicans are sell outs and we're voting in a Republican primary. All media corps are sell outs and we still try to get them to cover us. This is not about who is a sell out this is about reaching as many people in as many ways as possible. The NRA has tons of members so that's huge exposure we need.

then start callling them;) GOA is also a good place ,they already support Ron Paul, smart nra members are already goa members..... who is a libertarian? i classify myself as a small government conservative democrat/libertarian/republican but screw labels, i say if the gop doesnt nominate ron paul, the gop will lose the next election no matter what..

The NRA has tried to derail a lot of gun rights efforts. They are a joke. Still, I think it would be worth it to be exposed to their membership because I think a lot of people don't really see them the way more informed 2nd supporters do.

Again guys...the forum happened back in September. Is the NRA still using this as an excuse? And will it even elaborate on how it informed the campaign? And why won't it allow Ron Paul to put up a video/statement now?

The NRA wanted to endorse a candidate with a top tier campaign -- then they ignored the candidate raising the most money in the fourth quarter, winning the most straw polls all year, with the most volunteers by far, and the one with the absolute best record on the Second Amendment.

Sometimes people just don't know how to help themselves out.

NRA just sent me their first email about the forum, and a link to the online clips. *shrug*

Finally got through to the official Ron Paul campaign.

Ron Paul could not be there in person (prior commitments.)

Ron offered to be there by remote feed. NRA refused, and kept him off the website in any meaningful way.

NRA refused all other overtures by the campaign.

I signed up as an NRA Life member a long time ago (before GOA) - and I'm going to give Wayne an earful.
