I'm a skeptic (I'm sorry, that's who I am) that hasn't donated to the blimp yet (though $300 to the campaign so far). I've got money budgeted for the tea party, and if I live like even more of a miser I'm sure I can scrape together funds for the airship!

My fellow underpaid skeptics and I would love to drop some cash into the fund to keep the blimp flying. I just want one thing.

SHOW ME THAT SUCKER IN THE AIR!

I'd say its closer to 1000 ft in that picture...remember the blimp is 200 ft long so you can get an estimate by flipping it on its end in your head.

Awesome! I suggest that we have a second launching after the other banner is on the blimp. We could plan the event so that it can be rolled out of the hanger in all its glory. A date certain could be announced for the second launch in plenty of time for spectators to get to the site. We could invite anybody and everbody for the historic occasion. We could have a marching band playing patriotic music. We could have a tailgate party and make it into a festive occasion with flags flying, etc. etc. This is history in the making and should be treated as such. If you like the idea please pass it on.

BTW: For all you trolls and conspriracy theorists out there spying for your candidate, rumor has it that the Ron Paul Blimp you see is only the mother ship, there are many many more flying in formation that you cannot see! :o.

The blimp over Bank of America Stadium on Sunday will be legendary! My two cents - that plan will get a lot more coverage and attention, because let's face it, everyone's watching football on Sunday! Plus Carolina is playing Seattle so we have instant west coast exposure. Because of the lack of density of NFL teams in the Northwest, they have fans from the Dakotas all the way to the coast who will be watching faithfully. Panthers fans, grab your cameras and spread the love...
